Sorry, I am way too tired to get things right.

Yeah. We both must. But I'll try to update to 5.6.5 as a last resort.

Question: How can you try it (the ;installHtml search command) "a couple of other times" while waiting for "flashing and then reboot"? You must type that command into the search bar. If you can see that, you are not bricked. Please explain in more detail exactly what you see and how you "tried a couple of other times". We need this information to assist you. Thanks.

Also, how can you update to 5.6.5 if the condition of your kindle as I understand from your description? What FW versions do you have installed before AND after your attempts (in the settings menu)?

Yes, that will give more information to help guide us. I feel well rested at the moment, so I can try to help now. Or we can wait for everybody to get some rest (and I will get some exercise).

Actually the readfile inside jb-factory.zip says once ;installHtml is typed and return button pressed the screen should flash and device reboots. But nothing happens, this is why I tried other times.
My Kindle is not bricked. I downgraded it to initial release firmware. I downloaded the 5.6.5 image and updated. Now I'm gonna try again.

Device was factory reset, so there was nothing inside. Also, It's not bricked.
Use the Kindle's Cloud Account or just Local? Both, but I use a lot the local

Do you recall what version of the firmware was running when you started this downgrade process? 5.8.1

Was the device registered? Yes

What are the first six characters of the device's serial number ? G090G1

It was in 5.6.1.1 when I tried to jailbreak (;installHtml)

Is the serial number (at least the first six) still the same?
(Not a foolish question, it has a meaning regarding the internal eMMC structure)

In which part? It was update_PW3_5.6.1.1_initial.bin for downgrade.

Then I tried to ;installHtml with main-htmlviewer.tar.gz on root folder.

Yes. Do you think I should go back to 5.6.1.1 or try the old jailbreak (fw 5.6.5) way is good to go? I can restore it again and try anything you suggest.

What I can add to is that I purchased it in Brazil (apparently imported from Mexico). But the 6 first digits serial number is the same.

You installed the factory_initial_5.6.1.1 (for a PW-3) -
Then you could not install the jb -

How did you get onto anything other than factory initial 5.6.1.1?

Or do you mean, try again to re-install the factory intial firmware version 5.6.1.1 (which is different from the consumer 5.6.1.1 - it supports the ;installHtml command, the consumer does not).

Can you take a break?
