Tip - don't install Xodo Docs as an alternative PDF reader on the Max. I just did that and on the file I opened, 2 days worth of annotations were wiped and now can't be viewed on Neo Reader.

Use AFWall+ (F-Droid / Google Play), which is a frontend to the good ol' iptables command. It requires root, so if you're not comfortable with that, someone mentioned a root-less firewall on this thread, but I'm not sure if and how it works.

For rooting I used Towelroot v1, get it from archive.org. KingoRoot was reported to work multiple times but I don't really trust that one. Cydia Impactor would most likely work too if you have Windows, and it's trustworthy.

Note that Towelroot freezes when you run it, but that's not a problem. Wait for 20 seconds, do a hard reboot, and then you'll have the su binary installed. Next you need to install the Superuser apk (F-Droid / Google Play) and you're set.

Then you can set up AFWall+ to allow only the apps you want on the internet, and you can also enable logging to see which ones try to get online.

Depends in what you want to do with it. If you have no need for root, there's probably no point. I don't have a Max, but have rooted my T68+ mainly in order to use adaway as an adblocker and for Linux deploy, so I can use a Linux chroot environment. Other uses may involve button remapping or other system related stuff, but again, of you're not missing anything, you probably don't need to root.

Guys, anyone knows how to fully refresh a page without long pressing the hard button on the bottom left?

I am using Bookshelf app from Vital Source and I need to fully refresh the page after two page turns from the ghosting effect.

It's not possible, the app has to support it by integrating with the Onyx SDK.

Hello,

@booxtor : I have one question about OnyxScribbler, it works well, it does recognize pressure levels, it is also nice to draw with it, but it lacks different levels of grey for the pen. Would it be possible to add this feature ?

Also, exports are done in PNG format, is it possible to export in PDF ?
