I can add those to the checklist of course and I will do so. I have created an issue for this. If you want, you can add more characters to this list. The currently checked characters are in this list. Now with regards to your other question. Most readers support the Latin and often the Extended Latin characters. Eastern European characters, Greek and Cyrillic can be hit and miss as far as I know. So, if you have other characters, you would be best of by including a font to your ePUB and specify the usage of those fonts where needed. So, if you want text to render in a font that supports Apache, add the font and ensure that the text use that font. |

Scene detection by other criteria
Hi Toxaris
Scene detection in the preparation part of the add-in is a really helpful thing. However - very often I come upon scene changes which are indicated merely by a paragraph without indentation (no hanging indent). Then the following paragraphs have hanging indents. Would it be technically possible to add such a scene break indicator/criterium to your preparation module? Thanks, Klaus Last edited by kbaerwald; 06-15-2016 at 11:00 AM. |

Very helpful response. I suspected the best route would be to embed the font I know will render accurately. |

No problem. However, please keep in mind that most fonts are not allowed to be used for embedding without a license (e.g. pay for it). If the book is for personal use this is of course not an issue.

Most scene breaks have at least some white space between the lines. If you still want it, please put it on the issue list and I will take a look at it. |

The example you gave should already result into a detected scenebreak. There is a white line between the paragraphs. If not, there is something else wrong.

Can you sent me an example file that has this behavior? Then I can take a look at it why it doesn't do what it should have done.

Yes. I'm aware of that and will make sure I do get the license. I have done that in the past for clients. Thanks again. It's a good reminder.

Version 1.25 has just been released. Look at the changelog for all changes.
New function is an insert symbol procedure (right-click will place the symbol on the clipboard). The characters on the form can be user defined to a maximum of 90 characters. Another new setting is the option to select the minimum distance for the scene break detection. The default value of 2.5pt should be sufficient for most cases (that was the hard-coded value before). The ribbon is updated. Some procedures are moved to other locations. There is also an setting that controls the icon sizes. For all procedures the icon size can be set to large or small. This can be done in the settings menu. |

Can't hide 'Symbol' icon in the Ribbon via checking in Configure Ribbon.
For future consideration. Allow users to control the order of buttons on the ribbon so that the order matches their workflow. Check Dialogue is one of the last things I do, but now it's first button in my ribbon. BR |

I am not sure how doable it will be to let the user control the order of the buttons. I haven't looked into it (I have thought about it) yet. It might be possible. |

They weren't there this morning, otherwise I would have mentioned them. Added: I moved Settings to the Small icon size list and behold, begosh and begorrah the Postprocess OCR and Field codes items disappeared from the ribbon. I'm attaching the config file as it is now BR(exit) Last edited by BetterRed; 07-04-2016 at 08:02 AM. |
