Yeah, but you have to actually want to use Microsoft Office. I only used at work when I had no other choice. And I believe Office365 also has device limitations. And, apparently, one day in the Leap Year you can't even use it.

My problem with OneNote was I could never figure out how to permanently delete a Notebook. The transfer tool seems to have transferred a lot of stuff I'd just as soon get rid of.

I do. I use Excel for many things and Word to fix badly formatted books and Outlook for email. One Drive to backup things to the cloud and now One Note for notes.

Some of the apps are 1 PC, 1 smartphone, 1 tablet but One Note and One Drive are free in the Play Store and you can install them on more than that.

I understand. My wife uses Power Point for her business (teaches) -- so, if you need MS Office it's great, although she had zero interest in Office365, even though it came with the Office version she bought ... don't even know what version she uses. (She uses WordPerfect for her documents.) I'm in the fortunate position of not needing MS Office at all. All my Office Suite chores -- what few of them I have -- can be done easily in LibreOffice. One of my jobs required the use of Excel for database conversion but my boss moved me over to OpenOffice and it (its spreadsheet software, Calc) worked just as well for my purposes. And that was eleven or twelve years ago -- LibreOffice has gotten a lot more polished in the meantime.

I've been using blackberry for the last 7 years or more and I'm definitely a fan girl, no other brand interests me - they are an extraordinary piece of hardware and firmware.

Now that I'm upgrading from OS7 I've realised that Office is available for the OS10 devices, using the Android apk. Not sure I'll need it if the Classic is using Word to Go, Sheets to Go, and Slideshow to Go - they've been perfect for my needs on my 9700.

For business reasons I've had to get the Office Personal $9 per month version for my PC, but prior to that I gave up on Office stuff in about 2010 and started using Open Office - and it's not only free but great! And you can import Microsoft stuff into it and do pdf's etc. Highly recommended (and I saw that you've also used it!).

Anyways, back to Evernote, the BB phone doesn't count as a device so that means that I only have one device, my PC. So I'm not going to worry about upgrading or changing to OneNote.

No, unfortunately, the BB does count as a device. It's the Linux clients that don't count (I rambled, sorry for the confusion).

I haven't used Blackberries for a long time, but it doesn't take long to grow to appreciate their quality build. When I moved over, my brother and his wife also went to Q10s. They're very happy with the voice quality.

My only problem is no article clipper in the One Note app. I sent them feedback. Evernote clips the entire article.

Well I'm not too impressed. The conversion requires Windows and wasn't accurate. I have a few check lists in Evernote and unchecked boxes just disappeared. That's not fatal, but what else might be wrong?

I used multiple notebooks in Evernote and have converted these to multiple notebooks in One Note. But multiple notebooks are pretty clunky in the Mac version, so maybe converting to tabs would be better.

The Mac app is pretty slow to start up.

OTOH converting to Apple Notes (the OS X 10.11/iOS 9 version) was fast and accurate. Notes starts very fast on the same Mac.

I agree OneNote has a ways to go before it can replace Evernote. I find autocorrect or spell checking is not available in the Android app. That is a huge deal breaker for me.

I've made a second free Evernote account and shared my notes to it. I really only need four devices. One desktop and three mobiles so this sorta works for now.

I was a power user of Evernote for years, using it for everything. But I didn't like the direction Evernote was going, pulling features I depended on with no warning and wasting their time on paper notebooks and other things instead of fixing their product.

So I moved to OneNote and find it works excellent for me.

I uninstalled OneNote except on the laptop. I could use it for collecting data on my laptop but right now I use Android for almost everything and their app which has come a long way still has a ways to go.

No spell check was the deal breaker for me but you also couldn't clip articles which I use Evernote for.

Right now I'm trying out Nimbus Note which is showing promise but the Android app doesn't seem to have bulleted lists. I have a feeling Evernote is the only app that meets my requirements at the moment.

Has anybody ever stored their Calibre file to OneNote .....

Is it a case of just dropping the Calibre folder in?

I'm wondering whether the ebooks would still be formatted unchanged if they were pulled back down from OneNote. I'm thinking that if OneNote doesn't change anything format wise within the Calbire folder then it would be a good backp repository.
