Where you wish to sit on it, sounds best.

This is not a good sit chair. It is a good spin chair. It has been used by 3 generations of children.

You just gave me an idea. Thanks.

They are all either grown or live elsewhere now. So no more kids to spin and the chihuahua is too old to get in it easily now. He loved it once we put a cushion in it.
He is the reason there is a step stool in front of the couch.
And on the kids, I was usually the one stuck with "spin me". I was the one that got to turn the seat.
Only 2 kids never got dizzy in it. They both moved their eyes with the spins.

Yeah, I had to give up my footstool, for my shih tzu. Had to get myself another footstool for the sofa, since she needed to use this and wouldn't accept an alternate. And she couldn't use it if it was at *my* place on the sofa and my legs were already on it. So I had to get a new one.

Plus, there is a three step stair unit bought just for doggies, at the bed, and a second in front of the window seat. No, not a pampered baby, not at all!

Let me guess, if you are lucky you get one foot of bed at night.
Right now, the chihuahua is sleeping on a cushion in the floor. Oh and wakes up and glares every once in a while.
I am oh horror of horrors washing the blanket that was on the couch. I even put him a new blanket on the couch.

Does yours at least eat d o g food? Cinnamon prefers rotisserie chicken. He likes the lemon pepper better than the traditional.
He likes it cold in the summer and heated in the winter.

Opal (she came to me with the name Oprah, but I sure as heck wasn't going down the street yelling that!) sleeps in the bed with me, but fortunately I've got a king bed for just myself. We have room. But she does yell at the cat, if cat gets onto *her* half of the bed.

Mine eats d o g food, wet & dry, but needed me to scoop the dry kibbles out of the dish so she wouldn't smush her face onto the pile. At least, I assume that was the reason. I finally tried putting the kibbles into a clear glass pie plate, so she sees floor tiles and so it isn't piled high nor near to the dish edge. That seems to have worked. The wet food in the a.m. is served on a flat saucer (no dog dish there) so that avoided that problem.

She DOES feel entitled to some of whatever I'm eating too, though. I'm trying to cut her back to only "the last bite of whatever Mom was having" rather than numerous pieces through the whole meal. But she still begs for it.

While the cat also gets wet food a.m., and has a bowl of kitty kibble on the counter so the dog can't reach it -- she eats more dog kibble than she does kitty kibble. I can't see any way to stop her, so .....

What is a dog dish? He has a Corelle saucer.
I think the food issue stems from he never got dog food. For the first 6 months of his life, he got nothing but scraps so he is used to the spices. Oh and when we have tacos, he gets everything but onion on his.
That is why we got him. He was teething and the family couldn't afford rawhides for him, so he was chewing on whatever was handy. Usually crawlers aka babies. He wasn't hurting them but still. It was either us or the family was going to throw him out on the street.

Now he has bit one person. That was my grown daughter after she had been told numerous times "LEAVE THE DOG ALONE". He didn't draw blood but he made her yelp. She told me the worst part wasn't the bite but when I said "I told you to leave him alone" the dog smirked at her.

Oh and by the way, never set up a doggy playpen in front of the dog. The dog will figure out how to escape by pulling up the floor.

LOL - mine is a Corelle saucer too!

I got a garage-sale puppy when I was 21-ish .... when I knew nothing .... it was a cute teeny puppy! With large breed parents. At one point, he pulled on a loop of kitchen type carpeting, and I found the whole carpet gone next day. Nothing but a huge pile of yarn.

I finally gave him to a family with a large yard and time to play with him.

I have to say this one isn't near the con artist like the one my husband had when we got together.
The dog was about 15 when we got together and had lost his female human about 4 months earlier.
The first time, I met the dog it was winter and the poor little thing (half chihuahua/half pekingese) was sitting on the floor just shivering. Needless to say, the dog got to sleep on the bed. The dog quit shivering the moment i reached down to pick him up. My husband later commented I had just got him used to sleeping on a heating pad on the floor.
The dog thought it was great that dad had brought him home a new female human.
The dog died a couple of years later.
You do have to consider that dog had a female human all his life except for those 4 months.
My husband was married 15 years the first time.

Oh and I got a better reception from the dog than from husband's sisters. And one of the sisters I didn't meet until we had been married 17 years.

Maybe that's what my first shih tzu thought. Her female human had died 6 months before I met her dad. He teased me that I was (eventually) "marrying him just to get the dogs" (a shih tzu and a tzu/poodle or something. I've forgotten).

However, when I left him after 3 years, he claimed that the dogs would "miss me" & the second shih tzu I had bought during the marriage. In reality, he wasn't willing to care for them. Letting them sit outside for long periods on a leash, was his technique. I don't think he walked them once while we were married, even when I was ill.

So in the end, I left him but inherited his dogs. And learned a new habit of liking tzus. Those have died since, and I've adopted this one.

WE had a kitty years ago I had to keep shaved because of his fur ball issues. Fortunately he tolerated my shaving him several times a year. In winter I had a little coat for him made of a long T-shirt sleeve cut to fit him. I felt this was a little extreme to deal with the fur balls but it worked and he really was cute looking like a little lion in the house.

Kitty I brought in from the feral group on the porch is all chopped up from removing winter mats. There is no way I could put clippers to her. She will just have to fill in. She also pulled out her fur and ate it they yacked it up.

Some times a little bit of butter works to glide the fur balls through. Just do not give them too much.

The first joined the family when computer retailer Micro Center opened a location in Brooklyn, a hop skip, and jump from me by subway, and offered a 7" Android tablet for $20 as a grand opening promotion. Sold! The primary use case was eBook viewer using FBReader for Android, which gets the nod because it handles ePub, Mobi, and FB2 native, and PDF, CBR/CBZ and DjVu via plugins. I mostly don't care what format the book is in.

If all it did was view eBooks, it would be more than worth the price, and it was a cheap way to learn about Android. It did a lot more, especially after rooting.

The current device is an improved model from the same vendor that cost a whopping $30, with a 32GB microSD card added to store my library. Add an external keyboard, and I can largely dispense with a laptop when traveling.

Another joined the family when a friend passed along one he got but never really used, figuring I could make use of it. His was a novel entry with both LCD and eInk screens, from a manufacturer ahead of its time that went belly up. But there's a support forum for it here on MR that pointed me to the stuff needed to root it and upgrade the early Android version it was released with, so I was able to make a useful device out of it.

The current time sink on the main tablet is running some old MSDOS programs on it with an Android port of DOSBox, an emulator intended to let you run old DOS games on something that isn't a DOS PC. I'm not using it for games, but games aren't the only DOS programs that will run.

So many tablets. So little time...

Dennis you are way over my head. I have heard of rooting. No idea how to do it. I do need a forum on the RCA to learn about going from tablet mode back to using the keyboard that it attaches to. I like the RCA so far. It is running windows 10 .

I will look into getting the FB Reader as it would be nice to only have one reader do it all. I do have books on my Nook and Kindle accounts. Wondering how many books a 32GB SD card holds?

A friend just sent me her old , but very new, Kindle Fire 8 inch. It is purple. I forget the exact model right now.

I do need to work on clearing off my Nook then some how setting it up for my Mom to use and sending it to her. I do not want to leave my information on it because it is linked to my CC. EEEKKKK
