If you were unable to see cover of a book, it's either due to network issues, or the book in question doesn't have a cover associated with it...usually.

Often times Goodreads' API is weird (read: not as good as it should be). In many instances it will show a book that does have a cover on the actual site as not having one when queried via the API.

So what do you get if you pay the $2.99 for the premium version (or miss if you don't pay and use the free version)? I've checked the description, I've checked the web site, but I don't see any mention anywhere of what you're getting for the money, and the free version seems just fine so far.

The free version limits you to reading only the book you've added most recently. Additionally, you can only make a limited number of bookmarks or highlights.

This is how I look at it: If I like an app, I am happy to pay for it as a way to compensate the developer for all the work he (or she) has done and to support continued development.

What I "get" is an app I enjoy, even if I could have gotten a limited version for free. And by supporting continued development, I also "get" (hopefully) future updates with new & improved features and bug fixes.

That about sums it up for me, too. I have paid for many many ebook reader apps, but only four of those are still on my devices. And Hyphen leads the pack so far.
