Thanks. I switched them to the hairball care formula of the food they are eating. Two days no hairballs. It's the same cat food but it has added hairball care to it. I think they like it better because the kibble is round not triangle like the non hairball kind is. They seem to eat less too which means less begging for more every few hours.

Quick intro cause I am new here. I am Chris almost 67 Female.Married. Some days if not many I get too busy to do much online. Joined here to be able to learn more about my readers. Kindle Nook , for now until I send it to my Mom, and a RCA tablet with Kindle reader on it.
I think I dropped into the right place. Being a great lover of crafts and kitties, we have 7.And a dog that thinks his sole job is to heard the kitties. He is a border collie mix. They have different ideas. I also have a fur ball yacker and even with brushing a couple of times a day. And cleaning out a craft closet. Rolling my eyes. How about cleaning out the whole room that is my studio. And then there is the sewing room. And I have a 40 inch metal lizard that I am cleaning grout on the mosaic I covered her in sitting on my kitchen counter because my studio work table is covered in stepping stone mess I am doing for a friend. Hoping to get Lizzzie Done today and out of my kitchen. So right now I am getting up to go hang a chenille bedspread I dyed purple late last night on the line to dry. Going to use it to cover cushions for a chair a friend is bringing by this afternoon. I traded a pair of boots for it. It is wild and funky and I hope to make it gorgeous again with new cushions paint and love. I would love to do the crazy patch work BOHO look on it but for now the bedspread covers for the cushions will have to do. Waving. Chris |

Welcome Chris!
It seems that I've gotten rid of the cheeky mouse in my bedroom with the three bowls with water and a couple of drops of eucalyptus oil. I had hoped it would keep the mouse from the room but I haven't heard it between the walls and ceiling either. I just got an email from Plex, letting my know that Western Digital has released the My Passport Wireless Pro, which can work as a Plex server. Which might be ideal for me, when away from home and wanting to watch something through my Chromecast. It looks like it isn't out yet in the Netherlands. But first I have to research if it has got enough power to convert files for Chromecast (even if it doesn't it's still interesting for when I don't mind watching something on my tablet). |

I'm kissing my modem for working. Internet went out this morning and just came back on. I was going crazy waiting.

And don't you just HATE mice in the walls!!!! 7 kitties and we still get mice in the house. GGGGRRRR From me. One kitty opens every lower cupboard door in the night to let the mouse out so she can catch it and deposit it in the bathtub to play with. OH My. I do hope your router thingy works for you. I am not very good at geek stuff. Learning some things but I am very slow to do so. Chris |

Our last kitty died almost two weeks ago, but she wasn't able/interested in hunting mice for a long time. I don't like using poison or traps, even the kind that doesn't kill, but as I said the eucalyptus oil in a bowl with a bit of water seems to do the trick. In more tight spots I put cotton balls with peppermint oil. It doesn't harm the mouse and as a bonus it smells really nice. |

I really like the idea of smelling good and chasing them away. I do have Lemon Balm growing along the whole one side of the house. It is a minty lemony smelling plant that makes wonderful home grown tea. I harvest big shopping bags of it every year. I also have spearmint growing here and there on the other side of the house. So sorry you lost your kitty. Hugs. We lost one in March and Dog in May. :'( |

Maisy seems to be itching on the new stuff causing her to pull her fur out and eat it. Eating fur causes upset tummy and she vomits. You would think she was eating grass. Ugh. This means more missed sleep. I hate when she is sick. Looks like I'll have to buy two kinds of food from now on. Sent from my XT1528 using Tapatalk |

My normal eBook viewing device is a generic 7" Android tablet from Yet Another Chinese Consumer Electronics Manufacturer. The first joined the family when computer retailer Micro Center opened a location in Brooklyn, a hop skip, and jump from me by subway, and offered a 7" Android tablet for $20 as a grand opening promotion. Sold! The primary use case was eBook viewer using FBReader for Android, which gets the nod because it handles ePub, Mobi, and FB2 native, and PDF, CBR/CBZ and DjVu via plugins. I mostly don't care what format the book is in. If all it did was view eBooks, it would be more than worth the price, and it was a cheap way to learn about Android. It did a lot more, especially after rooting. The current device is an improved model from the same vendor that cost a whopping $30, with a 32GB microSD card added to store my library. Add an external keyboard, and I can largely dispense with a laptop when traveling. Another joined the family when a friend passed along one he got but never really used, figuring I could make use of it. His was a novel entry with both LCD and eInk screens, from a manufacturer ahead of its time that went belly up. But there's a support forum for it here on MR that pointed me to the stuff needed to root it and upgrade the early Android version it was released with, so I was able to make a useful device out of it. The current time sink on the main tablet is running some old MSDOS programs on it with an Android port of DOSBox, an emulator intended to let you run old DOS games on something that isn't a DOS PC. I'm not using it for games, but games aren't the only DOS programs that will run. So many tablets. So little time... ______ Dennis |

My sister had a lot of free days saved up and since summer is a slow time for the company she works for she has planned in seven extra free days until the end of August. We plan to do fun things on those days. Today is her first day off and in half an hour we're going to go to Rotterdam. We want to finally visit the Markethall (indoor food market) and then go shopping. Her last free day is on a Monday and we hope to go to either Belgium or Germany for a couple of days. Otherwise we still need to think of things to do.

It was fun. Though around 4pm I've had enough. My sister isn't very efficient when shopping. She knows which shops she wants to visit and where they are, she just doesn't plan a route, which meant that we've had to double back to go to the two final stores she wanted to visit.
I did went a bit wild in the Sostrene Grene shop, it has loads of fun (and cheap) craft stuff. And since there isn't a Sostrene Grene store in my city I just had to stock up. I like Rotterdam, maybe even a bit better than Amsterdam. The city centre is nice and compact with a good mixture of shops and it isn't as touristy as Amsterdam. |
