Kindle Oasis Batch Number
Out of curiosity, as of now, what is the latest batch number for Kindle Oasis that Amazon has shipped to Customers? The batch number is the second part of the serial number XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

Mine is GD09 and shipped June 14. It comes with firmware version 5.7.4 already installed.

What is your batch number and the shipping date? What is the firmware it was shipped with?

Hardware wise, is there any difference among batches?

Please don't post the whole serial number. Just the batch.

My GC09 came with, uh, I think it was 5.7.1 -- something earlier, and in the 5.7.x line, anyway. (I can't remember because the first thing it did, the instant it got a wifi connection, was to pull down the new firmware, in the middle of the day, when bandwidth was expensive, and I upgraded almost at once.)

It's probably the earliest you'll find: I ordered it within half an hour of announcement and got it on April 27th, which seems to be the earliest arrival date. (Amazon doesn't appear to track dispatch dates, but I seem to recall it dispatching a day earlier.)

Mine shipped May 2nd and is GC09.

I have no idea what version it was on as it updated pretty much right away to something. 5.7 something as the latest now is 5.8.1 that just came out.

Mine came with GC09, shipped 30 August and came with 5.8.1.1 direct from Amazon UK but was sent from Amazon France due to low stock levels.
