I purchased this cover on Amazon last year for H2O. This flip cover is very thin and does not add extra thickness to the device. This cover also supports the sleep function. Very good.

Perhaps a tablet stand? I have one similar to this, and it's good for just about anything. It's adjustable as to size, width and angle.

I got one for my laptop, but it would defeat the purpose of an ereader: small and handy. Right now, I simply use the pillow of my partner, the cat or one of my stuffed animals.

But that origami case looks handy: both a cover and a stand for portrait and landscape in one.

It is really beautiful, it looks like a real book and it is customisable. I chose the yellow cover (though there are a few other colour options) and to have it look like a Sherlock Holmes book, so I am excited to see how it will turn out.

I admit it is pretty pricey for a cover, but the Kobo H2O I will buy tomorrow will be my first ever e-reader, something I thought long (very long, actually) and hard before getting, and one of the things I was afraid of was to miss the feel of a real book on my hands.

I will get the Kobo H2O to read on the bathtub daily, swimming pools during summer, travels and everyday on public transportation, so it will be used quite a lot and I felt like I should invest in a case I will love.

Hopefully it will be as nice as I hope, as I don't want to buy another cover for it anytime soon, becau$e rea$ons.
Those book-like cases from Marston Bindery and Klevercase look very attractive but how practical are they in terms of holding the H2O for reading and opening the flap for charging?

If you're willing to sacrifice an actual book, it's really easy to turn a book into an ereader cover. I've made several, for about $3/cover, using books from the dollar store and elastic headbands and fabric from Walmart.

Shouldn't be too hard to find a nice book at a used book store, either, if you want something a bit more personal or luxurious.

Its been splashed in the bath already and it was perfectly fine.
When the front cover is folded back and the tab tucked inside, does the magnet hold the front cover to the back? I have the Noreve and really like the front cover being held to the back when it's folded open, but the case is really bulky. I don't like the idea of the tab unless it would serve that function as well as holding the cover closed.

No it's not strong enough for that.

My H20 just arrived, finally replacing my much-loved PRS-650, and I've read through this thread with interest. Thanks all.

As a UK buyer, I think I'd like to choose between the official Kobo cover, the deluxe Gecko and the slimfit Gecko.

Am I right in thinking that the deluxe Gecko would be the heaviest and bulkiest, but the only one that would provide protection if the reader was dropped, perhaps landing on a corner?

I bought a deluxe Gecko cover. The magnets were misaligned so it would not properly close. I had to send it back. Glad I bought it through Amazon.

Yes, I'll buy through Amazon in case there's an issue, but from various accounts here Gecko's customer service is also pretty good.

It wasn't an issue with customer service. It was a quality issue with the cover. It wasn't built properly.

Yes, Gecko's customer service was good - when I had to send 2 cover's back because the corners became unglued and snapped! Whilst the covers offer a nice range of colours I do question their build quality.

I eventually ended up with the official Kobo cover - totally uninspiring colour wise (black) - but it is still doing the job 18 months later.
