Maybe we've managed to snarf up all of their available stock, online, and there will never be any left to put out in stores. At least till September or something. Maybe.

Mine hit my local UPS hub 1:30 this morning. Wish I could just pick it up! Monday will be here soon though.

I looked into that once, but found out that it would actually require waiting an extra day or so beyond the expected delivery time, since a worker must be retasked from his normal job (at UPS's convenience) to go and physically locate the package and then carry it an office where it will be held for customer pickup. Have to imagine that kind of thing really tears into the efficiency of their operation, so they tend to discourage it. Granted that was years ago

As of this morning, Best Buy says ALL colors are "out of stock online" -- and also ceases to mention any date when it will be available in a store. Maybe they won't even both to put them in stores, till September or so. If we buy them all online, they won't HAVE any left to show in a store, much less to sit in stock at a store.

I'm picturing a mission impossible style raid (or is that Get Smart?) on your UPS hub. Then when you get caught by the police, trying to explain: "but officer, I'm not stealing. It belongs to me."

So much for getting to see one in person before ours arrive. Super happy I ordered mine in time! It will be hard to be patient for Tuesday LOL! I have to work the next three days so it will be perfect - I'll be off to mess with it starting Tuesday night

My Oasis from Amazon has loose and unreliable connection issue between the Kindle and the cover. I don't want to wait two or three weeks to get a replacement from Amazon so I ordered from Best Buy and I would get it in less than a week. I ordered a few hours before they sold out. So, I guess I grabbed one of the last unit.

As soon as I got the one from BB, I would return the old one to Amazon.

Over 30 days all Amazon is going to do is send you a replacement. You best send it it in WAY before your 30 days is up. IF you asking for refund.

Thanks. Mine is returnable until May 11th. I would get the BB one before May 2nd. Enough time to return it before the deadline passed.

BTW, I am a bit suspicious with using Amazon to get a replacement. A few years ago, when I ordered a replacement for my KPW1 from Amazon, the replacement unit came with a different packaging and it was labeled R. I am guessing it means refurbished.

EDIT: I meant to say June 11th and June 2nd respectively.

Apparently, Best Buy has now restocked the Oasis. You can order it now and get it in less than a week. Much sooner than Amazon in two or three months.

I wonder how come BB has more in stock than Amazon itself.

Wish we could see Oasis, in stores here in the US. But as someone said probably not until September if that. I use my PW3 mostly outside in warmer months, so waiting to see one till then, would probably make me wait , if I even liked it after trying it. I wonder if Oasis is used outside on the beach like the pictures show on Amazon ? A woman sitting on a beach chair on the beach. I have not seen one on the beach this weekend and we were in a heatwave until today, on a holiday weekend, in New England. I did see other e ink readers though. I take my PW3 everywhere when I'm outside in the bright sun. Maybe people who bought an Oasis, don't want to bring them out to the beach ? Bring something else, less expensive ? However that would be different than how Amazon shows them in ads.
