Good morning, everyone. And ProfCrash, I know what you mean! Even though I have some coffee mornings, I still enjoy my teas. And their paraphernalia, of course.

This morning, a bright, cheery, China Green of unknown origin and provenance. Wish I knew where it came from -- not one of my usual suppliers -- because it's really quite nice.

I have never found a decaf tea that was drinkable. If I want decaf, I choose a Roobios or other tisane. Or drink what I'm having right now - my faux San Pellegrino.

I have moved from caffeinated teas to various Rooibos 'teas' - in my overall health plan to control rising BP by reducing caffeine intake, among other strategies. Ginger rooibos is a wonderful drink for a queasy tummy - hot or cold.

The only one that tastes good to me is Celestial Seasonings decaf green, which is what I'm drinking right now. I figured that the other brands must just be cheap or something, so I tried a bunch of expensive brands with no real luck. I've certainly had better green tea than the CS decaf, but at least it retains some of the bright, fresh tea flavor that the others lose. It's so much better than other brands that I half suspect that they mix in some regular green tea or something. Decaf Earl Grey tastes fine to me since the citrus kind of knocks the tea into the background anyway, but it's still second-rate.

I like plain soda and mineral water as well. I have a Soda Stream knockoff that uses 20 oz. paint ball cylinders. Lately, though, I've been drinking the passionfruit and cola flavors of La Croix. Since neither is sweetened, the flavors really shine. The cola in particular lets just an edge of bitterness through that I love.

I use a Soda Stream with a converter so that it can use my 24 oz paintball cylinders. With the addition of a touch of minerals to match up to the mineral content of San Pellegrino. After >50 years of drinking 10's of thousands of litres of Coke, Tab, and then Diet Coke, I quit when I got this setup going. Since then, I've managed to virtually eliminate it. And the price difference?!

Just finished a 1/2 glass of fresh squeezed OJ to take my evening pills, now switching to that faux San Pellegrino.

A big pot of Peet's English Breakfast Blend tea this morning. I'm nearly out, and when it's gone, it's gone. Though the Murchie's English Breakfast Blend is a reasonable substitute.

Oooh, nice. Though I rather suspect it will last longer than a weekend. Unless you're getting paid way too much.

Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie. Not Port Charlotte, much less Octomore, but still quite nice.
