Question for Geekmaster
Hi.
I have the K5. Serial number starts with B011 14. Network capability is wi-fi. Firmware is 5.3.7.3 (2715280002) Space available 2,731 MB free. The problem is, it has a physical home button that no longer works. Is there a way to check it with software or is it totally a hardware problem? |

TL;DR: Yes! But if the GUI framework cannot see the button, it may be flakey. Opening the device would let you jumper across the button to see whether it is a bad switch (replaceable) or other hardware (or software) causing the problem. EDIT: I think K5 diags might already have a home button test built in... Last edited by geekmaster; 05-20-2016 at 04:46 PM. |

Will have hubby open it and look first. Then will come back and find the links to do the software thing.
Thanks for the quick answer. Oh and to everyone else reading: yes this was the question when I got the time. |
