I'm having this strange issue as well. Not visible during the day but enough to be annoying at night. Are all Oasis screens like this or should I send it back? Didn't have time to read all 20 pages of this discussion, sorry.

If the photos are an accurate representation of what you are seeing, I would send it back. I had light cone shadows on my 2 devices that I returned, but nothing as bad as that. I don't know if the cones are visible on all Oasis devices but I think some are much less obvious than others and some people claim they can't see them at all.

Yeah but the first one is bad enough frankly if that's what the display is like under normal use conditions. It's really disappointing to see that although the price of the devices keep going up, Amazon still don't care about QC.

Amazon is apparently replacing just the Oasis; they don't ask you to send back the cover & cable. They have replacement readers by themselves. (So they anticipate some returns.)

From those photos it appears that only half of the 10 LEDs are lit. What do you see when you look at it from the left edge to view them?

In another thread I mentioned I returned mine because of shadows from LEDs. Received the replacement today, and the shadowing is exactly the same (no worse or better). Is this going to be a case of some people can see the shadows and others can't?

The replacement has a warm display (I've seen people comment about this in comparison to the Voyage), and the first one has a cool display which I prefer. The level of gradient is the same on both devices (very subtle). Dark closet and maximum brightness. Again, I bet the gradient is present on each Oasis (some see, some don't, many are not bothered by it).

Sigh, I'm sending the replacement back and sticking with the first one.

I was at work and missed their call.

They need to change the order to just the device because I would have had it already. The first person I talked to said it would just be the device.

I was asked to send in photos of what 'terrible' meant when I said I was returning mine in an earlier post. Unfortunately mine is all packed and ready to go so I can't take photos, however the ones above are exactly like mine. I do hope all the displays are not like this - for a £270 device this is awful.
