Comparisons help.

Maybe someone has got some experience with Ipad Pro 12.9 and can compare the reading experience with Onyx...

I was able to play with Ipad Pro for a short time, read some old scanned book, but the brightness of the screen was affecting the eyes, perhaps it can be tuned properly, and then the difference between the Onyx and Ipad is minimal?

The Onyx is eInk, which is a totally different technology than the iPad. That's why there is so much interest in the Onyx -- eInk is much easier on eyes that have a problem. No, you can't emulate it on the iPad.

Per the demo videos, one button is "erase" (as opposed to the default of "write"). Actual knowledgeable persons may be along soon, to give a better answer.

I am very worried! Yesterday I went to the Onyx Boox International official website (www.onyx-international.com) and I found all products, even the Onyx Boox Max. But in this moment, going to www.onyx-international.com, it appears a site that talks about App for tracking phone usage and sells them!
I can't understand what's happening!!!

I suspect their domain name has expired, and some generic web page has been parked on the space. This kind of thing happens with smaller companies with employees that do a wide variety of tasks and cannot devote much focus to some of them. Wait a few days and see if it gets renewed before panicking.

I have tried it. USB Keyboard and/or Mouse doesn't work on the spot. Maybe with this every keyboard app?

Stili made for Hanvon, PocketBook or Onyx e-ink devices will work on the Max. You can even use a small (thin) stylus and put it inside a pen to make it thicker. The technology is different from that used by Wacom "Penabled" pens.

Thanks for the quick response. I was rather surprized (admittedly pleasantly) at your initial response, particularly given Booxtor's remarks in the thread I linked to. I presume you've had to revise it and I'm not sure how to interpret your second sentence.

Software/firmware USB host mode support will be the crucial and not immediately apparent variable, although there are other requirements like a OTG cable which I presume you now have. Though you can test for such support using android software such as that specified in the following link:

Please keep us informed, particularly if you have any positive results, as many are interested in this, not least the noble Rizla.
