Checking In:

I bought no books this last week.

I read Dirty by Kylie Scott (4 stars) ( Thank You Brooklyn Library!) Ms Scott weaves her magic again. Keep in mind this a world building book. The Stage is being set for the series so you have to deal with all the new people and old ones. I will say there is a cameo in the book that had me grinning ear to ear.

I am reading Beautifully Damage L.A. Foire (Kindle Unlimited Trial) and There is no such thing as a Lost Cause by Shelly Fredman. I'm halfway through both.

I have switched the cats to wet food due to Maisy no longer able to hold down dry. It's going okay. Maisy hasn't puked since doing so. I'm going to put her on Pepcid for tummy problems when we get paid later this month. I'm clueless when it comes to canned food. So I am reading everything I can to find the right Brand and nutrition. Maisy isn't sure how to eat canned and Sweet pea eats hers in less than two minutes. ( I swear she is part canine. She drinks out of the toilet too and laps water like a dog.) Maisy is all cat and eats slow keeping Sweetpea out of Maisy's food is proving to be a challenge. If Maisy feels pressured she will stop eating then Sweetpea swoops in and gulps it down. This never happened with dry. They both took their time and shared.

I've found dry cat food upchucking can vary by brand.

Friskies indoor, one of the cats would upchuck and that stuff will stain your carpet. Now they get the Cat Chow Indoor and much less upchucking. When it does happen, no carpet stains at all.

I've read the first book back when I did ARC reviews. It was meh for me. I felt the paranormal element was barely put in that it could be any typical category romance. There is very little to no world building. Her Vamp series by Avon is really good though. Intervamption was well done.

Good to know. I tried one of hers awhile back and as I recall, I liked it, but it didn't bowl me over. Shifter romances are a definite weakness of mine. I always sample first though and if the sample doesn't grab me, I don't buy.

Speaking of which, here's yet another deal from Sourcebooks for $1.99. I have read this and the third book in her SWAT series and enjoyed them both. In both books, her heroes were definitely alpha without being totally overbearing and her heroines were strong and not TSTL.

Amazon has a fresh list of 99 Romances for $0.99. Most of them are older Montlake titles. I grabbed several that were on my watch list!! Including Kade's Turn (Kathleen Turner 2.5) which hadn't previously dropped when all the other did last month.

EDIT - they didn't do a very good job of listing all the titles that dropped to $0.99. There are more when you look at the list this way.

I read In His Shadow by Tiffany Snow (5+) stars. I liked this much more than the Kathleen series so far. She is such a talented writer. This is a page Turner from the start. A little predictable but plenty of crazy sauce you didn't see coming. It will leave you guessing a little. The narrator does an amazing job on this on. Her voice acting is superb!

I am reading Beautifully Damage by L.A. Foire still. Almost finished.

No books bought this week.

Cats transition from dry to wet has hit a snag. After eating wet for a week the little one refuses to eat any of it no matter the flavor. Back to the dry which she will nibble on then begs for the wet but wont eat it. Maisy was sick today but not like previous times. I am doing half and half with her. I think hydration is a big thing too much dry makes her sick but she only eats a little of it and the wet about a teaspoon she nibbles on.
