I should probably take this as some sort of cosmic warning - but I'm about to have some ice cream.

I wish my wife would stop bringing the stuff into the house, because the refrigerator makes me eat it.

Well now in defense of your wife, you could always do what we do. You could go grocery shopping with her. Then you couldn't blame the refrigerator.
My husband blames me when he over eats because I like to play in the kitchen at times.

Which is what matters. Cancelling ambient noise is a different task than accurate playback of material, and you want noise cancelling to let through what you need to hear while suppressing other sound.

One of the folks on the list was just looking for advice because she works in a facility where they sometimes test gear, and really low frequency tones will trigger a migraine. There's a limit to what noise cancelling headphones can do, because your whole body is a receiver for them. What she really needs is warning the tests will occur so she can be elsewhere for a bit.

I have a Baskin-Robbins (31 ice cream flavors) a block away. I get a fair bit of practice in resisting temptation.

I load eBooks onto my Android tablet through Calibre. The tablet has a 32GB expansion card to hold things like my library. There are round thousands on the tablet, and that's a subset of the full collection. (I don't normally put PDFs or really large books on the device. PDFs are poor fits for 7" screens, and really large volumes, like 100MB or more, just take too long to open.)

So yes, I understand your problem.

The sound quality is great, I use it mostly for watching tv and movies, and even with music I prefer a well balanced sound over one with a super heavy bass.

I have fallen in love with it, the sound quality is a lot better than my old headphones and it blocks low frequency sounds great. Which is what I need it for. The noise bothering me most are the lower sounds from music played by restaurants, cafés and neighbours.

Last week was King's Day and nearby was a podium, plus several cafés had speakers outside. Normally King's Night and King's Day are very tiring for me because of the onslaught of noise. The headphones blocked out all sounds and my new earplugs blocked out 99.9% so I was even able to get a good night's sleep.

Procrastinating.

I'm trying to finally finish my photo album for my Krakow trip, just the last couple of days. But I have to start with my least favourite part: editing the photos. There are 11 photos left to do and I only do the minimal amount of editing (straightening and colour adjustment) but it's the task I like least about this hobby.

Yes, this has a 32 gig SD as well, which is what I was loading onto, via Calibre. And your tag sentence makes me wince in sympathy

As for what I'm doing right now? Trying to unglue my eyelids (allergy season has arrived) and wake up enough to get some more loaded.
