Thing is, when you have a cover you want to like holding it. I don't like a cold metal strip to hold. There are ways around that strip that work.

Anyone come across a good neoprene case for the H2O?

I really like this one but its a shame they only make it for the aura.

This is the only other one I've found in the UK but I have a funny feeling its a generic size and they put all different e-reader names in the description so I'm worried it won't be a snug fit for the H2O.

Unless it has rigid inserts, I don't see how it can do what it says - offer "maximum protection from knocks and scrapes". The biggest risk to your ereader doesn't come from scratches. It comes from bending, twisting, irregular pressure and temperature extremes. Soft cases offer little to no protection from any of these.

If there is no room for the H2O and a case, then the neoprene case is going to be not all that useful as you'll have no protection when the H2O is out of the sleeve.

It doesn't say scratch resistant for the H2O. Could the the sleeve that's scratch resistant.

Ok thanks for the info! I guess I was just hunting for something like the official neoprene case because it looked so nice. Back to the drawing board

Only Kobo reader have ever damaged was setting on console between Mercedes SLK seats in neoprene case with jacket on top. Probably a little excessive arm pressure damaged screen.

I had a silicone rubber sleeve for a Kobo Reader that leaves screen exposed. I made 23 gage steel screen protector with plastic electrical tape covering sharp edges. The silicone rubber sleeve holds this screen protector in place for very minimal protection. I now keep this steel screen protector in front cover pocket of leather case for a Kobo Touch.

My Kobo Mini is most always naked in a shirt or jacket pocket when I'm carrying it and not reading.
Better protection is always being aware that ereaders are delicate and leather cases only supply minimal protection. Pelican case supplies best protection during transport even in baggage.

The Voyage Origami case is perfect for side reading at night. I've been hunting for one that will serve the same purpose for the Kobo Aura h20. I'd prefer to read the h20 at night, but it's so much easier to prop the Voyage with the Origami cover.

Finally got my H2O! Thanks for all the posts that helped me choose my accessories. Here's the case and sleeve I got and a few pictures to see how they fit.

Case:

Sleeve:

I can confirm the sleep/wake works and doesn't put the reader to sleep when folded back. It's much easier to wedge the ereader into the case compared to popping it back out. The botton left corner comes out almost too easily and the top left corner needs a lot more force. You can see this is due to how the plastic frame is designed. Overall I would say its sturdy and offers adequate protection when the lid is shut.

With the reader in the case, it fits very snug into the sleeve. It slides in and out with a nice amount of hold. The width is a tight fit and there isn't as much padding on the sides so I think that's where it would be most vulnerable to shock or compression. Height wise there is about an inch of extra space once the ereader is pushed all the way to the bottom however once zipped shut it won't budge, even when it sits off the bottom. It puffs up nicely on the front and back where the foam bubbles are located underneath.

It's early days but fingers crossed it lasts

Does anyone have the following case? How is it? Does it line up properly when closed? Does it stay closed when closed? Is there a problem when the cover is flipped back?

It's pretty ugly, with a weird plastic bit in the back. You can leave it on while connecting via usb.

If you also desperately need a fitting cover ASAP, go for it -- I probably won't replace it until it falls apart now that I have it -- but I cannot actually recommend it if there are other options.
I have the sleepcover and it doesn't trigger my sleep mode reliably. I also agree that the magnet is very very weak....!

There is a great looking cover on alibaba, unfortunately they're selling only large quantities there (50 pcs.minimum) so if anyone knows where to find one - without amazon links, they dont usually ship to my country - I will be more than grateful!
