Space On My Hands by the late and highly influential, though perhaps nowadays a little on the obscure side, Fredric Brown (ISFDB, Wikipedia) is a collection of his vintage Golden Age science fiction stories, free courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press' Venture imprint, who are e-printing it from its original 1951 publication by Shasta (later picked up by Bantam and Corgi).

Currently free @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK and probably pretty much everywhere else they sell worldwide, since this is being done via the KDP Select exclusive-or-else program)

And this has been the (late!) selected 3rd (non-repeat) free ebook thread of the day.

Because aside from the usual reasons, I actually have 3 entire books full of his stories translated into French which I got on sale some years ago but never actually got around to reading, so now I (maybe) have a few of the originals to try and compare them against. Not to mention I've always been curious about his stories after having read about them in various works that referenced his apparently inventive and proto-Twilight Zone-esque plots, but to my knowledge have never actually encountered any (outside of the Star Trek: The Original Series episode credit mentioned on his Wikipedia entry).

So this freebie, in addition to being another welcome-on-general-principles sfnal treat from Venture, who've really been very kind and generous with these, works out very well for me on a personal basis as well.

Will one of these covers do? I found a third, but it has a naked woman on the front with visible breasts, so I didn't think I should upload it.
