I just got a link from Angel Ancin at iRex.

There isn't really anything there yet, but it should prove useful once it's done...:-)

I think as soon they release the SDK they also have to give the Devs Access to their devices... And IMO they aren't really concerned about security... They give us root-access...

Originally there was a plan to release documentation on how to optimize documents for the Iliad. Do you know what happened to those plans? (What I describe here as Level One of developer information.)

I'd certainly look forward to it, even though personally I would only be able to take advantage of any document optimization techniques.

But my fondest wish, ever since I got into eBooks in '98 with the Reb1100, and then started learning about e-ink displays, is that someone will port one or more TEXT-ADVENTURE / INTERACTIVE FICTION engines to something like the iRex! (after the SDK is available)

It would be a match made in haven: It does require a computer of sorts to parse the input/output (unlike a book) and it has lots of text (which is _always_ more pleasant to read on paper (unlike rather a computer-screen!

Plus, classic engines like Frotz/Inform have been ported to even the oldest/lowliest Palm PDAs (and Linux-likes, of course), so the iRex should have more than enough horse-power to handle it, and a screen-engine that should make for some really nice typography...

I may have overlooked the answer elsewhere; the How to make content for your iLiad tutorial is now available from Irex' Downloads section. (Is that what you meant by "missing pages", Tribble?)

Heh, with Inform 7 coming up even the source codes of text adventures are going to be fun to read.

No, on the developer page, there are links to gpl and sdk. They ended up in nirvana yesterday. Today you find information there.
