I did mean putting it on top of the case's screen, not the Kindle directly. I figure the screen size would be the same, or close enough to work.

It would probably stick okay, but I know how big a pain they are to put on. I still haven't tried putting the replacement sent to me when I screwed up the first one I bought for my Nook HD+!

I knew what you meant.

The only company, that I know of, that makes really nice screen protectors is Power Support, but they only make apple screen products. It was the first screen protector I ever used, and it was a flawless installation. The rest of them require the skills of a professional window tinter.

Hmmm... that might be idea.

I tried using Clear Matte spray paint. I did get rid of the glare, but ruined the clarity. As soon as I saw that "frosted" screen, I knew I was in trouble.

Here's another showing the matte spray up close. Do you see how frosted the book covers are? You can barely read the titles on the top two books.

The last four pics are after I removed the paint. I used Acetone, followed up by Denatured Alcohol. Thankfully, it's restored, but I really thought the acetone would probably destroy the screen.

Pics of the screen/glare with the light on, and off. With the light on, it really depends on what's behind me. If I'm sitting on the patio, in front of the glass patio doors, there's a bit of glare, but if the house wall is behind me, then it was fine.

I do like the case, and it wasn't expensive. I'll keep it, and if the glare becomes and issue, I'll attempt an anti-glare screen protector.

Glad you were able to remove it okay. If you do end up trying a screen protector, try applying it in the bathroom with the shower running. This keeps down dust, helping to avoid dust under the protector during the application. Probably still going to be a pain, but every little bit helps!

I've heard that. My problem with the last screen protector was just bubbles. I need to find a decent brand. I wish PowerSupport made what I was looking for.
