My writing is really poor tonight, I am sorry about that. So, to rephrase this properly :

Here is my hypothesis. Clinic tests were done with the Oasis (as they are done with most consumer products before launch). And they came back not as good as the team and Jeff thought they were going to be. So, buzz was badly needed. Thus, Jeff's tweet as well as the various leaks.

That's what I've been thinking. It's only a matter of time before aftermarket charging adapters appear. They might be a bit unwieldy, though, to ensure a solid placement on the cover.

BTW, have you seen the charging connectors of the Amazon Tap?

Very good English.
My guess is Jeff was tweeting anyway so his marketing team told him to do a teaser.
I don't think the trial run had anything to do with it.

Keep in mind that I know nothing about the French or French marketing.

That teaser tweet made Jeff's followers feel special because they were told first about the new device. That alone probably accounted for 1000 or more sales.
The reason is some people have to be the first among their friends and colleagues to have the newest device. Mostly for bragging rights.


Now me, oh cool you didn't like/it didn't do what you thought it would do. Now I can get a used one at a reasonable price.

The Oasis is not my cup of tea, plus my gadget money will rather go in a new Polar when/if it comes out because e-readerwise, I could open a shop , but I hope that everyone who ordered the Oasis will get it soon and will enjoy it.
