Amazon announces Kindle Oasis

Sorry...I don't know about the screen on the Oasis, as I haven't actually seen it, but I do have both a PW3 and a Voyage in front of me, and I can tell you that the screen on the Voyage is better in every way, to my eyes. Better contrast, better lighting, better clarity.

I believe that the Oasis uses the screen of the Voyage, doesn't it?

Hmmm...even though the description says that it's for the Oasis, it looks like it's for the Voyage. Also...that's not actually made by Amazon...it's a 3rd party cover.

Which seems to be what most people who have both say.

Folks seem to focus in on the fact that both are 300ppi Carta and assume that that means they are exactly the same. The underlying screen tech is the same, but the layers that make up the full display are not.

ALL the Video I watched including 2 that Developed it Said the Case Cant be charged unless it on the reader! So who you want to believe the Developers or the Nobodies getting Paid to do a dumb review!

You're right. The Voyage display is noticeably better than the PW3. Would have to assume the Oasis is the same as the Voyage as it has glass and not plastic like the PW3.

Since they are trying to make it a light as Paper then Oasis is most likely Plastic. Glass is Heavy!

Ok. I was only going by the specs. Does anyone know if the screens are actually different, or did they do something else different?

Yes they are 3 party cases! So What! Last Amazon case I purchased was CRAP! they took it Off the Market. I rather buy 3 party for Way less than what Amazon charges So Unless the Drop the Crappy Case then Lower the price THEN I consider buying it.
Case should be BUYERs Choice!

We've been through that already. The screen is definitely described as glass. Read further back in this thread. I can't pinpoint it right now.

2 Developers I watched said Nothing but they made it from the LIGHTEST Products the Goal was it to be a Light as a piece of paper.
