I truly don't understand your point. How can it be Amazon being greedy when they're making the same money from a US sale or a UK sale?

You're right that most products do not have the same price in the US and UK. UK prices are generally higher, even taking VAT and sales tax into account.

And then you have nothing to protect the Oasis when traveling. The cover is dual purpose. Protects the screen and charges the Oasis. But you don't have to use it when reading.

Don't know, but I'm assuming that there were either production or quality control issues otherwise we surely would have seen it in another device by now?

EDIT: Looking on Alibaba there are some 5" and 6" flexible EPD displays available for sale, however they're probably LG or someone elses old stock as they're limited to 600x800 resolution.

That's why optional cases and covers exist. A cheaper option than the expensive battery cover.

Problem with the Case is You have to Charge it thru the Reader! Who wants to wait Hours before they can read again I Don't! My Charge Works great on my Fires & PW. I don't have to wait to read! Not everyone wants the Dumb case.
