MOBI ToC links stop after 33 entries

I am converting some ebooks from HTML into MOBI and EPUB using the auto-generate TOC with H1 and H2 tags. The TOCs generate fine in EPUB and every hypertext link works. However, sometimes the TOC that was generated for MOBI stops linking after the 32nd entry. I see ALL the possible generated entries, just can't click on anything after 32 and have it work. This is the same for the TOC that is automatically inserted into the back of the book. I increased the Chapter Threshold setting to 50, then to 100 in the TOC interface, but to no avail. Help. Attaching the MOBI version below

Be very careful about NOT posting Modern Publications (still under copyright), That is against the MR rules . It will get you banned. (I see no copyright notice, but the board operators may still find this unacceptable)

I use AZW3 for newer Kindles like my K4, ![]() Where did you set this? Preferences is for FUTURE conversionsCalibre remembers the settings USED for each book conversion. There is a similar override on the conversion screen or a tic/button to forget previously used options. Please read the Site Guidelines (link at the bottom of most pages) to avoid issues

It's likely because of the table in Part 4 -- amazon's MOBI renderers have major issues with tables. As theducks suggested you'll be better off converting it to azw3.

However, I DID run a test on the AZW3 version and that worked. Yay! The only issue I have had with testing the AZW3 is that a testing friend who has an iPad and who likes to read books using the Kindle app (on the iPad) can't download the AZW3 file format. Maybe that is a just a user error they are going to have to deal with? |

You cannot send azw3 files by email -- amazon does not allow it -- you'd have to complain to amazon about it. Or you can generate MOBI files of type "both" which can be sent by email.

As for why it does not work in plain MOBI -- you'd have to aska amazon, there is no way for em to guess at the bugs in their mobi renderers. |

Side Load with a USB cable (if needed) email the AZW3 file to the target USER (not the device) and have them side load it |
