Murchie's English Breakfast Blend tea. I just put in an order for several of the Murchie's blends, in 2 oz sizes, to try out. Since I can no longer count on Peet's for my tea (boo, hiss!), I need to find a new supplier. Murchie's is at least local to BC, and has a pretty broad range. Though some of their blends are downright strange, others are good. Their Russian Caravan, with a healthy dose of Keemun and Lapsang Souchong is a wet weather favourite, and their English Breakfast is quite acceptable, if not quite as good as Peet's was. So trying a few others.

The list of the others I'm going to try. I'll report back the results, of course:

Third mug of tea for the day.
Quote:
So, I stopped at the Asian market this afternoon. I picked up another cannister of Pu-erh and a couple cannisters of Tin Koon Yim oolong tea. These come from the shelf that seems to be reserved for "every day" teas. They're inexpensive -- and actually wind up being a lot cheaper than Lipton tea bags from the local Shop Rite -- but they are very, very good tea. The exact mix of types seems to change from week to week, although they cycle through the same basic selections, almost all from China. Mostly they carry green tea, but I like "sturdier" brews. They have a much larger selection of more expensive teas, mostly from China, Japan and Taiwan. Every once in a while I splurge, but it's it's not like this is a hardship. |

Does a diet coke count. I could put in a cup if you want.

Rioja. As usual. It's accompanied my wife's home-made chicken pie (a rare treat).
