Anyone else finding that their Nook has stopped working on the 15th?

No problems here. I've been experimenting for the last week or so with doing daily factory resets on my Nook HD+ (as you do) and they all worked perfectly. This included ones on the 15th & 16th and one of the non-Oobe specials on the 18th and so far all is working. Whether any of the update procedures, normal or non-Oobe will still work after May 31st is anyone's guess but at the moment all is OK. I will stop resetting long before the offending date but at the moment I am just trying all the different launchers on the Play Store.

An interesting point about NOT using the normal registration process is that the crap Crossword 'game' is not installed on the device. You still get the equally crappy Moby Dick but not having the poxy Crosswords is a definite improvement and seems to prove that the alternative update IS, in fact, different.

You will have to manually setup the WiFi and the default account.

Mine is still working OK, but I only use it with sideloaded stuff. I expect that it won't work with getting books from the nook servers, but I don't actually know.

In case anyone wants to download the books on their Nook I did it today and unarchived everything so the servers are still up.

Not surprised as the FAQ on the Nook website says that you will be able download your library until 31 May 2016.

Nor have I. I did get a reply to my email to customer service - giving me a link to the FAQs and nothing else.

I guess I'll have to wait until April 1st and then make a big fuss.

So, it's now April 4th and I've had no follow up from B&N other than a message that they were cancelling my Asimov's subscription. I had the original email telling me that they were closing down and that they would get back to me with the details, but nothing else. (I've checked my spam folders, too.)

Is anyone else still waiting for the start of the process of transferring their books to Sainsbury's?

Has anyone actually had their books transferred?

Mind you, my wife has an actual physical Nook and still hasn't received the original email.

I'm still waiting for any email from them about the closure at all. I have a query currently being escalated with customer service.

I think I worked out why I didn't get an email. I had to change the email account I was using to a new one and all my puchases were made under the old one.

I emailed them on 1st and had an reply saying that it had been escalated and they would respond in 1 - 5 working days. So hopefully should have a reply by the end of the week.
