Set Repeating Alarms

You can now use Alexa to set alarms that repeat daily or on the same day every week. You can even set one for weekdays and another for the weekend. Just ask:

• “Alexa, set a repeating alarm for weekdays at 8.”
• “Alexa, set an alarm for every Sunday at 10 a.m.”

To edit your existing alarms, visit the Alexa App. For more information, go to Manage Timers & Alarms.

I have no use for repeating alarms myself, but it was a much-requested feature, so many Echo users will be happy to see that.

I wish we could label timers/alarms. When cooking, I sometimes have several timers set.

This is awesome! I wanted this feature for a very long time! I have two reoccurring alarms each week so happy not to need to set them each time now.

I'd use it for my daily "get up for work" alarm except it's too easy to turn off. I have to have my alarm clock across the room so I have to get up to turn it off. If all I had to do is yell "Alexa shaddup!" I'd never get up.

Yup, I can't wait until someone integrates it into a smartphone. I'm kind of surprised that Amazon hasn't done that already in the iPhone/Android "Alexa" apps. After all, all the hardware is there already.

You could just ignore Alexa altogether and either get a plug in timer for your crockpot or a programable crockpot.

The crock pot I currently have is still very usable. No point wasting money on a new one when I can waste that money on a new mobile device

I think it would be easier for me to piece together a monster than to follow those instructions!

My Echo hadn't been playing music for several days. It would respond to my request but didn't actually connect.

I fixed the problem by unplugging the device, waiting a minute, and then plugging it back in. Just thought I'd mention this in case it helps someone else...

Last night I had Alexa play some sleepy time music for me, and she played for a while then said "I'm having trouble playing your music." and quit. I was nearly asleep, so I didn't try again.
