This is the General Discussion Forum, which is for "General discussions about e-book reading not specific to a device, software or format." You've been a member of this site long enough to be aware of that fact.
Please look over our site and post to the correct forum. Thank you. Don (Moderator) |

Only if the book is not copyrighted, or you're the rights holder of the book.
I'm probably going to move this question to either the Sigil forum or the workshop forum, but in general: Sigil is not a "converter." It's an editor. Most of the html attributes you've mentioned are not allowed in xhtml. You need to manually edit your html to make it xhtml to get it to validate. I'd suggest an xhtml tutorial. Then you can use any editor you like to make the changes necessary. Last edited by DiapDealer; 03-23-2016 at 12:59 PM. |

Please don't.
I moved your question here precisely because it was not a Sigil-specific question. You're wondering why you get so many validation errors after importing html into an epub; and the answer is because most html attributes are not valid in an epub. Hence my suggestion to brush up on xhtml so you can fix it yourself. Sigil can't do it for you. You must manually change the html attributes to valid xhtml attributes (again not really anything to do with Sigil), or find a converter capable of doing it for you. Perhaps someone in the workshop can point you to some xhtml tutorials or html->xhtml converters ... for that is what you need. |
