Just a warning that in the fourth movement the sound starts breaking up around four minutes in, and gets progressively worse over the remaining four minutes, ending up as just a series of clicks and pops. (This happens with both the MP3 and WMA versions).

Thanks for sharing that, and for emailing BBC Magazine about the issue.

I listened to only a part of the track--just enough to find out that I didn't like it. So I wasn't aware of the issue. Being the hayseed hick that I am, I don't like the singing--it sounds too much like (and maybe it is considered) opera. Just give me some nice soft instrumental classical music and I'm happy.

No, it wasn't the BBC's Shostakovich track with the sound quality problem, it was the Alexander Street "Classical Music Library Free Download of the Week" - Symphony No.4 by Gustav Mahler.

(As it happens, the piece with the audio problem, the fourth movement, is the only movement of the symphony with voice, so depending on your personal taste....)

Yes. Even if you choose to spend coins and it prompts you to verify that you want to use coins, it will use your digital credit instead.

Worked for me, got the $5 credit email confirmation about an hour after spending my coins on Ticket to Ride.

Another way to look at this offer if you're using coins, is that you're converting 299 coins (+ tax) into a more valuable $5 credit that can be used on most anything. The app you're getting in the process is icing on the cake.
