Whats the lifespan of actual button page turns on the Onyx? How was your previous readers?

With my Nook Simple Touch I used the touchscreen more to turn the pages as I didn’t want to wear the buttons out.

I’ve decided that I’ll wait for an Onyx Boox Max that has a light and/or Dual Touch (you think that will happen in a year?) I think its down to the N96 Dual Touch or N96ML with frontlight…

@stardest you might be in for a long wait. I've been waiting for a 13.3" device for 2 years now. I hope there will be a version 2 of the Onyx Boox Max or a DPT-S2 in the future but I would buy the OBM now, look after it, and then sell it if v2 is released in the future. Don't expect anything else to be released this year though.

Does anybody know how Boox Max works in OneNote (Android) as a drawing device?

As it shows, the opportunists once again come in scene from the shadows to present what Onyx already have in hand.It seems that the only superiority of their model to the Onyx Max is to have both dual touch and stylus pen working. They claim that Onyx Max is limited to pen,but theirs works for both. The battery capacity of theirs is 1270 compared to 4100 of Max.

I have no idea why people find it interesting to deposit big cash on the project that failed once in their 6 inch model.

Oh,yes!I`m far too pessimistic!I know that, but Look at those mountebanks! Let`s not make saint out of the sinners!

Where to go to find out more about them?Just look around more and surf better. You will find out! They were infamous on their six inch model!

My max only works with a stylus, and the listing says that as well.

When did you get your Onyx Max 13.3 inch? That's interesting!

I also have worked with pocket books before and from that experience,I prefer to work with pen rather finger. So for those who prefer finger touch, this may not pleasant. The main concern is that except that advantage(if I can call that),there is nothing left for innovation,as claimed. That would be interesting if I could see something very enthusiastic in it that may turn it to be a good reason for crowd-funding.

They also couldn't afford better battery life, justifying that speakers in Onyx Max will devour the battery life and their weak battery will be better choice!

The reason they gave for not being able to put front light in it is also interesting as well!

It's Booxstor's pre-release model. He's lent it to Nate.

Good to know, thanks.Because I recall that Nathan mentioned before that he asked Booxtor to give him a sample for reviewing of the previous models, and Booxtor agreed first, then didn't respond.

So the second question is that where is Nathan's review of 13.3 inch e-reader in his website?

I got the device on Tuesday. I haven't had enough time to form an opinion.

And are you sure I said that "Booxtor agreed first, then didn't respond"? That doesn't match with how I recall events playing out.

I`m positive, but not sure as you may predict...``Humans can play with words,of course, but the old, original meaning will weigh up the same if carefully analysed!``(Oscar Wilde)

Anyway,we are waiting for your review,if that is not for V.I.P section of course!

Nathan the great presents Onyx Max the great!

http://goodereader.com/blog/electron...-inch-e-reader interesting comparison with the OBM.

So some of you were correct. There is another fund raising campaign. This goodereader device also has a möbius display but a smaller battery, weaker processor and less RAM. However it does have a touch screen layer. It looks identical to the DPT-S1 but with android. Now I don't know if it's best to get this or the OBM. I would be interested to hear your thoughts? Of course it's difficult without access to either device yet and lack of info from Onyx. The promotion on the ereader device is far better.

@xhacker It's funny, I was doing the same kind of thinking, I admit I like the idea of the capacitive screen and the light weight. but I decided based on my experience with Booxtor and their store to go for Onyx.

Basically, the software, the service and the warranty, I'm going to pay 500+ on something I need to know that my money get me something reliable, beside, there is no guarantee that if you product is damaged with the Netronix ereader that you get a replacement or even spare parts.

I have been using M96 for a while now, and it's part of my daily commune, the software that comes with the Onyx is unmatched, and the service I got from the store is really great.

If you want to end up losing your hard making money in their infamous fundraising gamble, you are good to go!But if you did,let me know when you may get your device here in this forum:most Probably in 2020!

They are just news publishers. Please be advised that I'm not in total favour of Booxtor here, but I believe he at least cares for his customers as a professional, long term seller and distributor. That's why I pre-ordered my first device which is 13 inch Max from him and I am waiting for it.Trust is something which comes with arduous efforts and goes easily away!I believe I can trust on Booxtor rather goodreader! But of course, choice is yours!

For me,it was so easy to go for their unknown release date of device, because it seems that we both are in Canada. But I preferred to order my device from Booxtor which is located in Germany.Trust is what makes me choose him over nearby website.

So you really think it could be a good idea to get an expensive device, of which there will only 60 or so made, while there is an excellent alternative? What happens when it breaks down and has to be replaced? Oops, there aren't any left!!!! Plus you have to wait several months again for this to come out.
