Version 1.20.0 is released.
Please check the changelog for all changes. Main changes are a new feature to mark text based on a XML list. This list can of course be edited. Please see documentation for the XML structure. The markings will be colorcoded if this option is selected in the settings for the preparation procedure. The color can be selected. Also words can now be added to the main exclusion list. |

Thanks for the Mark tool - essentially it goes a long way to fulfilling this wish:-

Yes and no. It does operate directly on the XML file, but it reads the XML file into a in-memory dataset. Actually, it works the same as the S&R editor. The core is identical. I changed the S&R editor some time ago to work internally with dataset and datatables instead on the Word file itself. That was around the time of the introduction of the XML S&R file. It also made the editor much faster.

Using version 1.20.1
If I 'clear' the Mark Tag it doesn't persist as 'cleared'. Next time I go into Settings->Mark either to select a different word list, or change the current one it reverts to 'ToxarisMark'. The Up/Down 'hands' in the editor don't seem to function, I want to keep things in alphabetical order so I can see what's there in a glance. BR |

That is correct. In the old release it is not allowed to be empty. Also, if you would clear it manually, the marking would be [] and [/] as you noticed. This has been changed already a few days ago (but not yet released).
I will check the Up/Down button in the editor and will add a button to sort it alphabetically with taking cultural settings into account. *Fix is released and the a sort button added* Last edited by Toxaris; 03-18-2016 at 08:56 AM. |

![]() Thanks for the sort button. Assuming Save button is used, then: the sorted list isn't saved, but a manually reordered list is. My preference would be that the list is also saved after sorting. BR |

After sorting you need to save the list yourself, that will not change. After all, there could be reasons you don't want to save the list after all. Either way, to leave the editor you either have to click 'Cancel' or 'Save', so saving it after sorting will not save you a click.

Problem with shortcut keys in spellchecker?
When using the spellchecker (version 1.20.x), I sometimes want to make changes in the suggestion in the "Manual correction" box. But whenever I write a letter in the box corresponding to one of the shortcut keys in the box, the letter is written in the first position of the box, and the shortcut fires simultaneously. Which behaviour makes the spellchecker unusable (this tool, by the way, is brillant - I use your spellchecker all the time instead of the crappy thing MS put into Word 2013).
I am using Word 2010/2013 (both 32-bit) on a 64-bit Windows 10 machine, if that's of any consequence (?). I don't recall this problem from pre-1.20 versions of ePub-tools. Regards Kim |

I go back into EpubTools->Settings->Mark->Edit Document and I see the same unsorted list. When I look at the timestamps of C:\_Miscellaneous\myMarkRules.xml (the file I specified) and %APPDATA%\Toxaris\ePUBToolsMarkRules.xml they have been changed, but when I look at the contents of both files they are not sorted. What am I doing wrong. BR Last edited by BetterRed; 03-19-2016 at 10:31 PM. Reason: bad typo |

No idea yet. I checked it a couple of times and the sorted list was stored and read.
