Well, another whisky-less day here, but for a good cause. We opened one of our very few remaining bottles from the California cellar we brought up with us. A 1997 Diamond Creek Red Rock Terrace Vineyard Cabernet Savignon. Still solidly tannic on the finish, but a wonderful big nose and front end. Lovely. Almost worth the headache. (Yes, I _did_ get one tonight. One almost as massive as this wine was.)

Sounds good, actually. But today's coffee is Peet's Sumatra Blend. A dark, smooth, full bodied blend that's quite nice. Maybe a bit too smooth? Could use some more brightness, I think. But good.

Next up, water. Lots and lots of faux San Pellegrino. That's all I get to eat today.

It's not the procedure, it's the prep.

Oooohhh yeah. Did that last September. And then again 2 weeks later, when I had internal bleeding from the first (along with my Coumadin ...). Such fun.

Somehow, fun isn't the word I would have chosen...
