Portability, storage space, immediate gratification...now that I'm older, being able to adjust font size.

But most of all, I don't sleep like I used to. I wake up every night around 2am and stay awake for a couple of hours. My e-reader can read aloud to me in the dark and then I can go back to sleep.

I feel like a fourteenth century abbot...

Why ebooks?

Well my paper back and hard cover "library" requires many boxes to pack and tote when moving as well as lots and lots of shelves.
Additionally when on vacation I have to tote along at least a couple of books.

Now my ebook collection can be stored on my hard drive, a second hard drive as backup, a usb stick as paranoid backup and my entire "library" is stored on my iphone and is carried around with me wherever I go.

Need I say more?
