Since reading this thread, I have looked at a lot of online postings about getting banned from Amazon. Of course, using Amazon as a rental agency will get you banned. So will returning DVD after DVD until you get a perfect case. But the one thing that seems to be coming up in addition is all these people who have been banned have huge (over $100) credits from Amazon. For example, if you call up and complain because your shipment took 3 days instead of 2, they will credit you $5. If you call up and complain because the plastic cover on your DVD is cracked, they will credit you $10. I think that is what is getting them banned. Every time you talk to customer service, it costs Amazon $$. Before Kindle, I don't think I every talked to them. But now, I have been known to pick up the phone. This is going to make me think twice. But since they opened a warehouse in IL, I get free same day shipping as well. But I have quit slowing down the shipping speed to get a credit. My husband uses all of them for movies before I have a chance.

Last time I took the cr I could only use it for the Pantry

$5 that I never used! Should have stuck with the Quick Ship!

Yes, I let those expire, as well. Then I learned some of the Pantry stuff is nice. They have some things I can't get at my local store, or that are less expensive than my local store.

I wrote to you on 6th November and 20th December last year with a question, and both times I received a reply from your Amazon Executive Customer Relations person, Heather Lyons, saying that she would look into my question and get back to me. I have had emails from Heather Lyons on this matter on the 11th and 19th November and 22nd December, all saying that enquiries are progressing, and that she would get back to me. I have heard nothing since.

I’ve attached my original query at the end of this email (with the link to the Guardian article fixed). I would very much appreciate an answer to my question.

German Court Rules that Amazon Can’t Cut You Off From Your Kindle eBooks. Since Germany and the UK are in the EU, will this affect the UK as well? Maybe you can include this info in another email.
