Small request regarding superscript css

Hi,

I have a small request regarding handling of superscript text during conversion.

Would there be a possibility of adding an option to change "vertical-align: super" to "vertical-align: top" (during conversion)?

It's not a biggie, if Kovid doesn't want to include such an option, or it would require a lot of work, then I am happy enough to keep changing it via the editor.

You can use extra css to accomplish this, assuming that vertical-align is applied to the <sup> element

sup { vertical-align: top !important; }

Hi Kovid,

That will work in a lot of cases, but there are some books (I just checked, I have at least one) where a <span> is used instead of <sup> (this book had the superscript in italics), so I don't think extra-css would work in this situation.

I'm afraid I am not going to make a dedicated option just for this, but I might look into creating a more generic mechanism to override css based on matching css values. So you could create rules that looked like

If the css property ___ is (less than|greater than|equal to|matches) (replace it|add another property) ___ with value ___

That actually sounds like it would be rather useful. I could think of a few ways I would use such feature (as well as the superscript issue).

So, Kovid took my little feature request and ran wild with it...

The style transform feature is AWESOME! I'm already finding ways to use it for more than just vertical-align.

And it is so super easy to use as well. I am (pleasantly) surprised at how flexible the feature is.
