The Didymus Contigency by Jeremy Robinson, I am not much for religion type stuff normally but I thoroughly enjoyed this. No idea if it is available as an E-book though, I own the TPB.

You might try The Accidental Time Machine by Haldeman. Haven't read it yet but it's on my wish list. Here's the synopsis Grad- school dropout Matt Fuller is toiling as a lowly research assistant at MIT when he inadvertently creates a time machine. With a dead-end job and a girlfriend who left him for another man, Matt has nothing to lose in taking a time-machine trip himself--or so he thinks. |

I can also second slayda's recommendation on 1632. Although the time travel takes place in the first chapter. It's a very interesting read and, at least at one time, it was a freebie. I understand Flint wrote this as a one off, but it was so popular, he's written several more in the series. |

I absolutely love, love, love Jodi Taylor's "The Chronicles of Saint Mary's" series of time travel books. She is a wonderful writer, very witty, and the stories are delightful. Her new one ("Lies, Damned Lies and History") comes out in May (can't wait, jumping up and down). Her website/blog: jodi-taylor.com [!Be careful, there is a porn star with the same name lol] (FYI, first book is "Just One Damned Thing After Another"; new book is #7; she is on Goodreads.com also) |

First there are some books that don't do badly with Time Travel. Usually the Travel is just a fraction of the story. That said, there are inherently terrific limits on the idea of Time Travel that I have never seen any author handle the details of well. The simplest and easiest idea to work with is a limited one way trip to the future. Anything beyond that doesn't bear scrutiny well. |

Yes! I loved 11/22/63 by Stephen King. Hadn't read him for YEARS when I picked this up a couple of years ago (?) and really liked it. (Haven't liked his recent work but gave this one a go; glad I did!) --- I actually came back here to post a few more recommendations :-) "In Times Like These" (Nathan Van Coops) Group of friends get electrocuted and go back in time (a lot better than it sounds -- and it's free right now on Amazon) "Downstream - Episode 1" (Nick Jones) - have not read; it's in my TBR pile; also free on Amazon "The Day She Died" (Bill Garrison) --A mystery. In this time-travel whodunit, a middle-aged coffee-shop owner always wondered what his life would have been like if he'd stayed in town the day his college fiancee disappeared, the victim of an unsolved crime. One morning he wakes up 20 years earlier and gets the chance. I liked this one a lot. ($4 on Amazon) "Time Travel Adventures of the 1800 Club" (Robert McAuley) -- a series of 12 (!) books that I flew through, each different time periods. Enjoyed a lot. Each book runs about $2 on Amazon. Last edited by ReneAZ; 02-15-2016 at 07:26 PM. |

Wesley Chu has a new series called Time Salvager. The first book is out now (Time Salvager) and the second installment is supposed to be released in July 2016. I really enjoyed the first one--anxiously awaiting Time Siege.

I recommend "The Mammoth Book of Time Travel SF" anthology, edited by Mike Ashley. It has some excellent stories in it, none of which I'd read before.
