I just wanted to say something and this seems like the perfect topic for it!

I am so happy I found some fellow book nutters! I always get laughed at when I say to read a book when people say they are bored... I bet that won't happen here

But -- the people in this forum never GET bored. They're already in the middle of that book! Plus two or three others.

I know exactly what you mean, Sweetpea! The last three comments of people seeing the books in our living room or (even worse!!!) watching me read a book were:
- Your telly´s broken down?
- You could sell them on ebay.
- Sometimes you´re strange.

Owning an ebook reader perfectly masks one´s addiction. People think you are reading ONE book when you´re reading at least a hundred

I keep giving away my pbooks as I retire them. Once in a while I get a smile in return.

No way I'll give away my books! We bought this house so we could finally make that library! (aka a room dedicated to the reading and showing-off of books).
