Or you could just sell it to someone who likes to tinker.
How could I recharge it without the USB port?

You could switch batteries with your other Glo and charge it there

Maybe you can find a Glo with broken display on Ebay and thus replace the entire board. Take two broken devices to make one that's good.

This will be not so good... Also because I have warranty on my other Glo. Thank you anyway

Or use micro-USB port.

V-Red(+)
Grounding-Black(-)

RX TX are the data, i almost certain that TX is green (d+), RX is white(d-).

Make sure that the wires don't touch each other or the board.
UP, please help

Replacing the PCB, as "Frostschutz" suggested, is your best bet. It looks like you were able to disassemble your Glo successfully. (Not so good with the soldering.) You should be able to swap the screens with no need for further soldering. There should be someone who has managed to sit on their Glo.

Luck;
Ken

I can ask my friend for soldering, so that isn't a big problem. Anyway is it the best way? I wouldn't buy another broken Glo and probably have some other problem...

That sounds prudent, but a broken glass substrata is a common failing for e-ink devices. It would be probable that the PCB is without issues. Then it might all depend on how cheaply the broken Glo was being offered.

I agree with what Ken said above, it's most likely that the only damage on the used Glo you buy will be a broken screen.

The picture of your soldering job shows several scorch marks around the area. It's possible that the circuit board and USB port is damaged beyond repair from overheating where you tried to solder it.

I would cut my losses with that reader and either get a used one with a broken screen to swap out, or get a new reader.

I'm lousy at soldering myself, I ruined an iriver Story HD board that way (horribly tiny test points in the middle of other components ouchies). So I won't judge and I have no clue what can be done, if you know someone who is proficient in that area show it to them and let them judge. It probably can't get any worse

Thanks fo the answers. The thing is that I don't want to spend a lot of time for search and buy another one. Otherwise if buy buy one of the connector that you have linked to me I could recharge the Kobo from it?

You can't recharge using the TTL Serial ports.
