AH! Perfectly understandable, then. I thought for a moment that your account had been taken over by aliens or something.

I just picked up Journey to the Heart of Luna by Andy Frankham-Allen for $0.99. It's the first book in the steampunk series Space: 1889 & Beyond. Several more of the books in the series are also available at Amazon for $0.99.

I'm going to give this series a try and I just started reading it.
Journey to the Heart of Luna was a fun, quick read, but maybe not compelling enough to continue with the series. I'll wait a while and ponder on that.

Next I'll be reading a February Amazon freebie titled Ghost Gifts by Laura Spinella.

As usual, an excellent book in all ways. And now I've read all her books again, and I'll have to wait for the next one!

So onto another recent purchase: The Wizardry Quested by Rick Cook. The fifth in this series, and I read the first four long ago, so I'm looking forward to this.

Just finished Longitude: The True Story of a Lone Genius Who Solved the Greatest Scientific Problem of His Time by Dava Sobel and it was very interesting. I read it based on recos from Dngrsone and Hampshire Nanny (both of whom never get it wrong) and they absolutely had it right this time.

Next up, I think I will go to Blood Shot, another V.I. Warshawski book... I mean to read some more Kathy Reichs at some point in time, as well.
Following up a true crime with a mystery was not smart on my part, though I do like me some Paretsky. I put that down in favor of The Paladin Caper by Patricia Weekes... then maybe I'll hit that mystery.

I also have a dead-tree book to read... every once in a while someone leaves a book on an airplane that is actually interesting. In this case, it's What to Think About Machines That Think edited by John Brockman.

I'll be interested to hear what you think of it. I've not ever read any Rick Cook, but since I got a couple in the last two bundles, I have been thinking of moving one to my TBR from my "maybe some year" list.

Just finished Brat Farrar by Josephine Tey. Now it's on to a biography: Hiding in Plain Sight: The Secret Life of Raymond Burr by Michael Seth Starr.

Of course we have.

Have you read his other books too?
(While it goes without saying that I was quite happy to see Bands of Mourning come out, I'm actually most interested in seeing The Dark Talent, if only because that series sort of died a while back, right before the end. It's been a long wait.)

Indeed. I've read the first 3 books -- the original trilogy. I have all of the subsequent books, but have not read any of them yet.

I haven't read his other books but I will probably read The Way of Kings after I finish the first Mistborn trilogy

Well, that wasn't what I expected, but a Library book came in, and I found myself engrossed. Just finished the first skim of Sea Kayaking: The Classic Manual for Touring, From Day Trips to Major Expeditions, by John Dowd & Freya Hoffmeister. This the 6th edition. I strongly suspect if I'm going to get serious, I'm going to want this book (and a couple of others as well) on my permanent shelf.
