Only if your library is a U.S. library. Canadian libraries aren't supported by Amazon. I have a U.S. Kindle account, but live in Canada and use the BC Library.

Ah shucks! Wasn't aware that Amazon.ca didn't cooperate with Overdrive. That's a real shame. My daughter would never figure out how to borrow e-Books if she couldn't send them directly to her Kindle from the library's Overdrive web site.

Well, in this as in most things with e-books, Calibre and Alf are your friends.

Currently reading The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald. I saw a review of this book in People Magazine about a month ago and was thrilled when I saw that it had been added to the library's catalog. I'm not quite half way through it, but am really enjoying it. I'll highly recommend.

Read the Forgotten Realms novel "Elminster in Hell" by Ed Greenwood*.

Now you have read the best and worst Fantasy has to offer

After reading the Elminster series years ago, of which "Elminster in Hell" was the worst, I've come to the conclusion that this guy can't write to save his life... even though he is the principal inventor of the Forgotten Reams.)

Maybe that's why they're "Forgotten".

Some people are capable of creating all the background info and history for these detailed worlds and great characters but when it actually comes time to write the story it's like all that creative ability just dries up and blows away. I have a best friend like that. I've started mentally cringing every time I hear the words, "Can you take a look at this story for me?"

Maybe I should enter this as a challenge for 2016: read at least 30 Forgotten Realms novels. Some are very short: like 200 pages, or even one novel split into 9 novelettes / short stories of about 60 pages. I've bought all of these books during one of the Kobo unlimited 90% off sprees, but if I keep reading them at this lackluster pace, it'll take me 30 years to finish them.

For some reason, I always want to read what I'm not reading. And if I finish a book and switch to what I wanted to be reading, I want to read something else again.

I got a late start this year, didn't log my first read till Feb 1st, but I'm rolling along now. I've got a list challenge going on but not a set number of books. I set my annual GR challenge number to 25 to start, I'll increase it when I get there.

Currently diving back into the Sandman Slim series, and there are two non-fiction books that I'm reading off and on.

I've updated my list of book read for the challenge. I've hit 8 so far. Some are novellas. But that's how it goes when reading some series.

Finished it a couple of days ago. Really good book; definitely recommended. Now reading Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey. Hubby really liked the TV adaptation (as The Expanse) and I'm thoroughly enjoying the book. He recorded the TV episodes and I'll watch them later.

Just getting nowhere these days. My eBook loan from the library is going to expire tomorrow and I'm only 41% through it. Sigh.

I found out that my library loans ebooks. I also found out that my library card has expired... hopefully I will rectify that today.

I finished book number 10 The Virginian which was quite entertaining. I can't find anything to read electronically right now as all the potentials I had are out. eBook availability is really quite limited for my reading list from the library.

As February winds down I wanted to encourage everyone to update your posts either in the list thread or wherever you are tracking them (and give us a link if you do track them elsewhere please!) It's not too late!

I try to take a look through them a few times a year and really enjoy seeing what others are reading in them.
