So you want to be a success
If you want to write a book that readers can't put down,
Read this blog. http://russellblake.com For those who are unfamiliar with this author, he went from no books to a bestseller, also featured in the Wall Street Journal in under 3 years. This guy is a great example of how to be a success. Note his name is RUSSELL BLAKE. He has at least 2 successful series and his own Kindle World. |

That is a good post, thanks for the link. It offers a much more realistic rephrasing of the old "kill your darlings" advice. That advice was always about trying to avoid filling your book with stuff that doesn't add to the story, but on its own the short phrasing is misleading. The Blake post shows how to look at things on a more practical level, keeping the story moving but still leaving room to be more adventurous where it fits.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm very fond of people who made their dream come true and it's really inspiring for all of us struggling to become someone in this world.
