I can appreciate your obssessive dedicated quest to kill the ding, but I have to confess, I usually work with the sound off, partially for this very reason.

yeah, obsessive is pretty accurate.

as i said, i have all the system sounds turned off, so usually this is not a problem. i don't want to turn the sound off completely because i'm listening to music right now.

thus my vendetta.

Mrawh I don't want to go to work tomorrow, I hate my job.

And right now I'm watching this Discovery show about a morbidly obese teenager who gets gastric bypass and right now he is stuffing his face and not taking his vitamins even though it could easily kill him (you can't do those things after bypass surgery).

Last night we watched the first episode from the fourth season of "new" Doctor Who, in which a company markets a treatment for obesity that... well, that would be a spoiler. But it was really funny.

Ood coming up. Two episodes away, I believe.

Meanwhile, I've already vented about the weather (in the meteorological thread). But I'd like to vent here a bit about the tendinitis that is now plaguing both arms... and the fact that I can't find the %&^$*( wrist brace! I think I took it off while sewing before Christmas. I've checked the area where I was doing the sewing. Not finding it!

Yuck I hate tendonitis. I had it in my wrist, and then it turned into a ganglion cyst. I had that puppy drained, and now I take it easy knitting. I don't want another.

Not everybody is as eloquent as you, my fertile word acrobat friend. Aren't differences the salt of our existence?

Sometimes the lesser said, the better the rant (in fact I had a bit of a discussion on some other thread that made me furious and I didn't want to use real ugly words with the guy!)
