My file is a scanned copy of the book and left and right columns are tilted, but the angle of tilt are unlike other column. How can I set different values for each columns? |

				k2pdfopt v2.34 released

This release adds some feature requests and bug fixes from the past few months, including the ability to select the font size of the converted document and the selection of an output folder in the MS Windows GUI. See all of the other new features, improvements and bug fixes at the web site.

A question and a minor bug

			Hello Willus,

I have a question about your excellent software, and I would also like to report a minor bug since version 2.33. If I have a file with let me say 500 pages, and I want a few pages not to be converted (for example page numbers 10, 100, 200), is there a way to directly exclude those pages from conversion (some command -10,100,200) or I have to specify pages to convert as 1-9,11-99,101-199,201-500) ? In some cases the former would be very convenient. And for the bug, when the name of the input file has Greek characters the output file has some funny characters, check the attachments. input file: Το όνομα του ρόδου.pdf output file: Το όνομα του ρόδου_k2opt.pdf Thank you in advance Angelos |

I was not able to duplicate this behavior under Windows 7 64-bit with the latest version (v2.34a--though v2.33 should be the same). The output file name was correct. What O/S version are you running again? |

I have Windows 8.1 I just checked -px command and it seems to me that it just deletes specified page; Is there a way to keep that page at its original size (that would be useful if the page has a picture or a map or a drawing)? Last edited by agelos100; 03-20-2016 at 04:52 PM. |

[EDIT: Never mind--I duplicated the bug. It happens when you do a native conversion (which uses a different set of functions to write the converted file). Should be easy to fix.] There is not a simple way to do different types of conversions (e.g. no text re-flow vs. text re-flow) on different pages within the same document other than to do them with separate commands and then merge the two converted files back together with a utility like cpdf (my favorite) or pdfsam. But pictures and maps should be preserved even with text re-flow, particularly if you use the -f2p -2 option. Last edited by willus; 03-20-2016 at 11:25 PM. |
