We spent a week in Las Vegas for the Continental Cup of Curling, a sort of "Ryder Cup" of curling. The curling was wonderful, with the final result coming down to the last stone in the 8th end mixed skins game, with the North America team skipped by John Morris (Johnny Mo) taking the victory with a board-weight inturn takeout to beat Torger Nergård’s team 3-2. Really, if you'd been writing this up for a movie script, you couldn't have had a better ending.

The actual venue, the Orleans Arena, was OK, but the attached hotel/casino was the pits. If we go again for the Men's Worlds in 2018, we'll stay at a different hotel and eat the cab fare to get over to the arena.

I'm back home, and a pot of English Breakfast is brewing. And an order in to Murchie's for some more of this, and a couple of others as well.
