If I trust the reviewer (which I have no reason not to) then it is all of the short stories. That's why I'm so confused!

I just got a notice of a new (albeit small) 2-for-1 sale over at Audible (here). This one features author Brandon Sanderson, which is good if you are a sci-fi fan. I'm torn on this one. I pretty well knew how I was going to spend the credits I've been hoarding, but this one actually tempts me. Gonna have to ponder this for a bit.

Unfortunately, I already own all the Sanderson's I want so far - now if they had included Calamity, I would have been all over it (since I still have a previous book in the 2f1 cart). |

Amazon has updated the free whispersync title of the month. (I'll call it that - this time since it has been about a month since the last update.) If you're interested in "Moby Dick" by Herman Melville you'll need to get the Kindle book first (here), then you can get the matching Audible version free (here). I may last a month; it may last more. I won't speculate.

The Whispersync Deal on this #1 Selling Jeffrey Archer Novel at Amazon Is Now $0.00!
The number 1 seller in the category "Historical Fiction > Mystery, Thriller & Suspense."
Even a hardcore non-fictionista like me recognizes the name of the author of this book, Jeffrey Archer. I found this novel posted apart from a context, at a third party website just now. So, I don't know if this is a one-day deal or what. I didn't take the time to research that, in order that I could post this fantastic deal as soon as possible. Title: Only Time Will Tell (Clifton Chronicles Book 1). Genre: Fiction (Historical). Author(s): Jeffrey Archer. Price: $0.00 ($0.00 ebook (marked down) + $0.00 Whispersync audio). Regular Price of Audio, by Itself, at Audible: $23.95. Ebook Rating/Number of Reviews: 4.4 stars/2,448 reviews (Amazon). Audio Rating/Number of Ratings: 4.4/1,961 ratings. Pages/Audio Length: 339/12 hours and 41 minutes. Narrator(s): Roger Allam, Emilia Fox. Audible URL: http://www.audible.com/search/ref=a_...ywords&x=0&y=0. Amazon URL (can get the whole Whispersync deal here): http://www.amazon.com/Cometh-Clifton...dp/B00YWZU0MC/. Comments: This is the first book of the "Clifton Chronicles" series. The series is complete, with a total of six installments. Book Description (Amazon): From the internationally bestselling author of Kane and Abel and A Prisoner of Birth comes Only Time Will Tell, the first in an ambitious new series that tells the story of one family across generations, across oceans, from heartbreak to triumph. The epic tale of Harry Clifton's life begins in 1920, with the words "I was told that my father was killed in the war." A dock worker in Bristol, Harry never knew his father, but he learns about life on the docks from his uncle, who expects Harry to join him at the shipyard once he's left school. But then an unexpected gift wins him a scholarship to an exclusive boys' school, and his life will never be the same again. As he enters into adulthood, Harry finally learns how his father really died, but the awful truth only leads him to question, was he even his father? Is he the son of Arthur Clifton, a stevedore who spent his whole life on the docks, or the firstborn son of a scion of West Country society, whose family owns a shipping line? This introductory novel in Archer's ambitious series The Clifton Chronicles includes a cast of colorful characters and takes us from the ravages of the Great War to the outbreak of the Second World War, when Harry must decide whether to take up a place at Oxford or join the navy and go to war with Hitler's Germany. From the docks of working-class England to the bustling streets of 1940 New York City, Only Time Will Tell takes readers on a journey through to future volumes, which will bring to life one hundred years of recent history to reveal a family story that neither the reader nor Harry Clifton himself could ever have imagined.
