Bug report: FanFicFare has trouble downloading SufficientVelocity threads containing threadmarks.

However Spacebattles, a forum using near-identical software, seems to work fine with threadmarks. Quote:

By the way, thanks for developing this extremely useful plugin in the first place. |

Sorry for the doublepost.
Could this plugin be adjusted so as to download fics written on wordpress? There are some. Additionally, https://forums.darklordpotter.net/index.php has a section called Work By Author, in which there are fanfics. However, these require having an account, with a minimum on 5 posts to view. I'd imagine downloading things from there would be difficult, unless the user would be willing to give their username and password to FFF. |

I have read that fictionhunt.com is considered a "Site Never Likely to be Supported". But considering is serves as a backup of FF.net, it has become usefull, especially after ff.net’s deletion spree.
Another example is when authors leave and/or delete (some of) their fics, and you can't find anyone who managed to save their stories before they were deleted. Most of authors don’t mind if their stories are shared around as long as the credits are given properly*. Those that do usually hunt down all other net copies of their work and pull them. Even if there is no description, the story itself is there, as are all the other *properly credited* information: Author, Title, Chapters, Characters, Words, Rated, Language, Genre, Reviews, Updated and Published. It even contains the original FF.net links for story and author. Also, saving 50+ Multichaptered stories and manually creating an ebook is quite tiresome, especially if a simple plugin can do all this work in a much, much shorter time. Surely there are many people who would welcome a plugin for this (backup) site. |

I did add support for a few forum sites because there were stories there I personally wanted to read. And it was a PITA. If somebody else wants to write code to add support for WordPress or forums.darklordpotter.net--and will support it--I'll likely accept it. But I don't have any plans to it. |

I'll look into it again. Can you provide links to a few stories that are on fictionhunt.com that aren't on ffnet?

I have a conundrum, and it may not have an easy answer. If it doesn't, please just tell me to deal with it manually, and I'll continue to do so.
First off, I love the addition of the "add 'crossover' to multiple categories." It makes things so much easier. So, so much easier. However, in a couple fandoms, that causes a problem. Especially ... Marvel. Because technically, say a story with Captain America, Iron Man and the others can be labeled "avengers," "Iron Man," "Captain America," "SHIELD", and several other things. However, it's not technically a crossover, because it's the same universe. The same applies to NCIS, CSI, and several other fandoms that spawn more than one show / movie. Is there an easy way to tell it not to label certain things as crossovers, even if they're listed separately? I can parse through and do that, but I wondered if there was a workaround. |

And add_genre_when_multi_category is applied after replace_metadata and include/excludes are done. You could possibly do something clever with replace_metadata and genre_LIST, I don't see what off hand. I don't think there's any easy answer here. Last edited by JimmXinu; 01-03-2016 at 11:11 PM. Hello!
First of all thank you for this plug-in! I have a question and hope this is the right place to ask. Tanjamuse - thank you for that, it's so handy! - gave me the hint to use this setting in the FanFicFare plug-in: Code:
generate_cover_settings: ${category}=>Bleach=>Bleach Code:
${ships}=>Naruto/Sasuke=>NaruSasu Code:
${#ships}=>Naruto/Sasuke=>NaruSasu |

Hello!
It's me again. I have (again) trouble with metadata when downloading a story. The peronal.ini is set to change the ship 'Harry Potter & and Severus Snape' to 'Harry & Severus' when downloading a story from AO3. Today I tried again - and it doesn't work any more. There is no ship at all. Well to be exact, the ship is changed to 'Harry'. I cannot see where the fault is, so I included all the general settings and those for AO3. Sorry, it's quite long. I left some old settings in there (commented-out) because I thought that I might need them again. Ugh. It's cluttered, but I can't do it any better... Sorry, again. Spoiler:
Well... ![]() I really appreciate, if anyone would brave this cluster of code to help me out. Or you could point me to the appropriate place where I should ask for help or look things up. Thank you! |

Do you have a custom column for ships?

Yes, I have a column called ships. It works with other fics, and the ships do appear there - at least if they are seperated by a slash.
