Did you look in the Plugins Index?
If so, did you see one; if not, it follows that there isn't one. Did you see any plugins for other Android devices; if not, it follows that no one has identified a need for specific plugins for specific Android devices. What would you have such a plugin do - remember most optional plugin are developed by the person who has the need. BR |

I will add that on my mind right now,
1. Author Info I know the author link in book details pane can go to wikipedia if i click on it, so this plugin or features would be keeping the author info, it doesnt have to be long, or maybe i can put it the author info myself. So i just grab the latest info from wiki then put it on "author info" (or maybe author metadata)... i can put the author photo, and another bio.. and i can choose to scrape the info easily like Import List plugin.. 2. Reading Order Guide Before i read the large series of the book, i often getting confused to start reading, like valdemar series that have subseries inside it, i think it maybe convenient if i can give some information to the series. so it would be right if the Author info have some information about the Bibliography and Series Title that we can click and showing the reading order guide. the info i can put it myself. 3. Completed Series and Ongoing Series Marking Series that completed is locked and cant get any series again after it marked completed series. Series that dont get locked as completed series will be marked as ongoing series. I can change the color of them too, so it would be nice, 4. Swap Column Information If i can swap the Title and Author information, so it would be perfect if i can choose the column that i want to swap as individual and bulk. So, Author info will have information about the Author Biography ( when born, died; Some description ) Author Bibliography The Book Reading Order if there is a large series. # when i think of it, theres a wikipedia link that we can replace in Main Interface Preferences, can i replace it with offline link to a folder instead creating an offline web server for that reason? i think i just want the author have a comment that i can fill it myself.. |

@yonkyunior - IIRC the link to Wikipedia is the default, as defined in Preferences->Look and Feel->Book-Details->Default Author Link template
It can be overridden for individual authors via the Manage Authors feature. The Author Link field can hold any valid URI, not just web address URLs, file system URIs (eg to a separate author folder, the contents of which are what ever you put in the folder -- images, obituary links, publisher links, etc). I put links to Evernote Notes in there, see ==>> Calibre and Evernote Similarly I have Notes in Evernote that are specific to a book, I put the link into a custom column column (long text like comments) called Book Notes that I display in Book Details above Comments. I don't have many of these and they are linked within Evernote to the relevant Author notes. If I wanted to have Series notes (I don't read many series) then I would probably create an Evernote note for the Series that would be referenced from the Authors' Evernote note, Actually in that case, I would consider using OneNote rather than Evernote because internote linking is 'easier done' in OneNote than it is in Evernote. That (swap EverNote for OneNote for calibre related purposes) has been on my mind for a while - but so far the cost of doing the change exceeds the cost of continuing withn Evernote - time and effort wise - no direct costs as I already have EN and ON. ![]() i dont know why calibre doesnt put the author info on the database itself, before, i use comment to do it to put info of the book and below was the author and reading order, but it look painful to do it to all the book, and i just using one book as reference to do it. So i just put the info in one book or the first series to keep the reading order fix, I will try your suggestion.. How about the series that still on going and i dont want to lose track of it? and i dont want to see the other books that have completed series. Instead creating Reading List or Virtual Library of the empty book, maybe samehow i can insert author name, and sync to anysite, and then its auto updating info when the new book was arrived or published so it will notify me. now, i just use goodreads to follow the author and the author sites feed to my book feeds email to do that. |

For the reading order, if you need to go beyond the series index order, you can try the Reading List plugin. With this, you create lists of books. The lists can be based on a search, or manually maintained. And the books in each list can be ordered. For books with subseries, you can also use decimal indices. This is usually done as the integers are the main sequence, and the decimals are within each of these. So, you might have 1, 2, 3.1. 3.2, 3.3, 4.1, 4.2 for a major series with two subseries. That is assuming that sorting by the indices represent the correct sequence. If it is something different, such as 1, 2, 3.1, 4.1, 3.2, 4.2, 3.3, then a reading list would probably be the way to go. |

but if i use reading list plugin, then the list will be growing unmaintain and i dont think i can remember all of that again after a few time. but to use it as temporary reading list to keep order then it should work. but i think not for the long term. maybe scraping using xpath or regex like import list plugin on wikipedia for the author info should work, so we can choose to keep the author info that we want. and if something changes we can sync it again. thats just ideas.. ![]() |

And you can have multiple lists. So, one for each series, or one for fiction and another for non-fiction or what ever the grouping you want to use. And a book can be on more than one list. A book can be in "read soon" list, the "when I need a light read" list and the "don't let your mother know you read this sort of trash" list. |

Not sure if this is where to add a plug-in request but here goes.
Would like to have plug-in to send Calibre Book Comments field to the relative book on my Kindle (Paperwhite). I understand at present that by selecting (Under Common Options) "Insert metadata as a page at the start of a book" will do what I want but only if either re-import the book? or convert the books format (could be mobi to mobi). Would be great to know that every book I send to my Kindle would have the "commets" field at the start of the book (that is if they were in Calibre to start with!) mitch13 |

Um, you need to modify the actual book itself for that.
![]() It has nothing to do with the Kindle, for the record. Nor importing (importing a book does not modify it). ... It can be added during conversion, OR Use the "Polish books" tool (the default shortcut key is "P", or add it to your toolbar in Preferences ==> Toolbar ) One of the options is 'Add/Replace metadata as a "book jacket" page'. |
