I just sneaked in a last-minute purchase so it counts towards 2015 rather than 2016. I feel a bit dirty.

I still finish with my TBR down 1, although I did have to use some emergency short stories.

My final pbook order was last night, The Anatomy of Error: Ancient Military Disasters and Their Lessons for Modern Strategists. So this is one day into my new regimen.

My 2015 totals:

Books purchased 26
Total spent $20.64
Average $0.79

I'm proud to say I did well this year in both monies spent plus titles read (17 paid + 5 free + 6 library =28). Yes, my TBR increased by 8 books (bought but not read) but I'm not going to quibble over a few Washingtons.

Happy New Year, everyone!

I am starting the new year with a mere 784 unread ebooks, and 4 unread pbooks (gifts).

Now to work on getting that TBR down below 700! Although I fear it will rise above 800 in the short term, due to the need to spend my Amazon credits.

Happy New Year, everyone. I finished up the year by buying 15 more books than I read, a bad way to trend. True, some of those were part of a bundle, but that's still not going to offset the number enough to get me going in the right direction. OTOH, I did much better overall on keeping track of books bought, and of how much I spent. So, all in all, not bad, but not as good as it should be.

I've started on spending my credits. 31 books bought so far for £50.

I'll be keeping most of the credit until towards the end of the month, in case there are really good daily deals, etc.

I was planning on doing that but somehow

spent a fair bit of my credits on books already. I only have £43.74 left out of £126 from the batch that needs to be used by the end of this month. I still have a further £75 that's valid until mid-Feb though. The combined amount will take care of the remaining books on my wish list but I'm hoping that some will appear in the daily/monthly deals or other offers.

I was *very* good last year and only bought about 80 books, most were deal-priced.
Well, I was good until the end of November... then it all went terribly wrong after that with those extra credits for no-rush shipping

I had even managed to take my TBR pile to below 200

which is now obviously growing again.

Approximately 55 books bought at a cost of £75 during 2015. £0.99-£1.99 books in the sales are my favourite kind. Consequently just started this year buying 15 books in the 12 days of Kindle sale for £21.

I'm good at only buying books on sale, but I don't have a huge amount of spare cash and am generally very careful with my spending in general. So the fact I've still got a ton of unread books to wade through and don't need these books isn't terribly clever.
