Decided to donate most of my print TBR pile. I will keep the few not-in-digital-yet-(and-probably-never-will-be) books by my favorite authors which I haven't yet read.

I'm also planning to not buy so many books next year unless I want to read them relatively right away. If we get one of those magical type sales like the 90% coupon code/5 cent sale all bets are off. But otherwise I need to stick better to a budget.

Not planning to do another massive digital library purge at this point, but seriously looking at my existing digital TBR mountain there's probably no way I will read them all.

Me too! You know what's nuts? My reading taste have change in the past two years. So like 50% of my purchases I wonder if I could even read now.

Most of the books I purchased during the 5 cent sale were ones I already owned in print and wanted in digital. But, yeah, I also have a bunch I bought that were new-to-me that haven't been read yet. But I have read a lot of them over the past few years, too.

I bought way too many books during that sale

As Romance moves farther and farther away from its roots. I do treasure all the good oldies and will continue to snatch them up as they come available digitally.

Checking In: Our town is flooded and flooded in and we can't get to most places. I can't get to my mom if she needs us and it's a mess with all major roadways closed going into St Louis.

I sent hubby out with our last $35 to get supplies. Deliveries to local stores will be next to impossible so stocking up now is vital. Hubby is at Walmart and sent me a picture of hundred of cases of water they have all over the store. The water plant in the next town is under water but ours is currently still in operation. It's a mess with people just trying to get home. Hubby can't get into St Louis where he was going tomorrow for a job screening.

I can't get ahold of my niece whose work is under water and her husband works in St Louis. They don't have a phone just internet. Please keep us in your thoughts tonight.

5 star read but it's not a holiday book. The town is just known for loving Christmas year round. It does not take place during the Holidays.

I went into it thinking I was getting a Christmas read and it took place in Summer but it's a wonderful story. I bought mine so if you want to read a 5 star book for free and you love adorable babies and a loyal dog then this book is for you.

Thank you hon! The Weather has been dry for days which is when all the flash flooding stopped it all has to recede somewhere and it goes straight into the Mississippi River which overflows the smaller Rivers causing severe flooding. River flooding is different from flash flooding around here. All these waterways are connected. So as the Mississippi rises the Meramac Rivers rises then The Big River and so forth. It's a domino effect. Never before has it affected major highways like this not in '82 or '93. This is a historical event.

I just watched a lot of video from the area. How awful.
