V4.3.3 beta channel release

Thank you Chaley for the update in Christmas and New Year vacation.

1) Still can't hide an item from Cloud Library index (the item already unchecked);

2) Book Details page of Cloud Library: Download button and Read button are all greyed out. Can't do anything in the page. Visibility of the items can be customized now.

3) Can't "re-download" the books already downloaded (the confirmation message appears, but no action takes place)

4) Vietnamese translation: I will update further. It looks ok.

1) I turned off everything except newest, but it still shows newest and read recently.

2) How about if you only have one top-level category you jump right into it when the cloud connects.

3) If it isn't a lot of work, could you add a button to the "items to display" that says "match to book details"? This would make the items and order the same as in the standard book details.

This was a silly mistake. I messed up in one place between using custom column lookup names and lookup keys. Fixed.

I don't understand this. Given the book details menu bug you reported, how are you asking CC to download a file again? I haven't done anything to change long-press downloading; it makes no attempt to re-download a file.

I will think about this. I am nervous about behavior changing "magically". Another large problem is that there is currently no way to "turn off" this behavior, as the only place one can change the selected top-level items is at the top level, which would no longer ever show. That implies adding a "Reset top level" or some such to menus, adding clutter and confusion.

As above, I will look at this, but given that the same dialog is used everywhere I suspect the special case will not be straightforward.

@Chaley, re-download (an updated book file) is important if the book has updated contents.

I have decided not to (try to) add re-downloading of books. Four reasons:
1) The capability already exists in the wireless device connection.
2) You can do it by hand in book details.
3) I would also need to add it to the content server.
4) It is complicated, given how the code currently works.

2) (FYI only) If you change device dpi, pop-up dialogues are broken, texts flow outside.

Sometimes I think my brain has deteriorated too much to continue developing.

I tried changing the density on my N7 2012 using the ADB method. All sorts of things in many apps broke. Edges of dialogs no longer line up, some text sizes don't change, etc. In CC dialogs tended to mostly work but the layout of text boxes was wrong, extending slightly beyond the containing layout on both sides. Dialogs no longer use the entire width, instead using the amount specified by new density/old density.

My guess is that things are going on inside Android that use values other than density. For example, here are the density values before I changed it:

Density information: 
density=1.3312501
width=800
height=1205, 
scaledDensity=1.3312501, 
xdpi=213.0, 
ydpi=213.0
densityDPI=213

Here are the values after I changed it to 150

Density information: 
density=0.9375, 
width=800, 
height=1227, 
scaledDensity=0.9375, 
xdpi=213.0, 
ydpi=213.0
densityDPI=150

Note that the xdpi and ydpi values did not change, although they probably should have.

Definitely don't do it then. Its a small improvement that is definitely not worth the amount of work it might be.

Having said that, I would like to ask why you put this setting in the menu and not in the settings under cloud connection options? It took me a while to find it, because I keep looking for it in the settings.

If you do move it to the settings before the real release, you wouldn't need to add a reset top settings.

Two reasons:

• One must be connected to get the column information from the library metadata.db in the cloud.
• The other two item selection dialogs are on the menu, one in base book details and one in cloud book details.

The first means that something in settings could be enabled only when connected, or it could do what the Book Details setting does, which is to tell you to do the job in book details. This pushed me to put the "setting" where it was used. The second is for consistency: put the same kind of function in the same kind of place.

I also wondered whether the selection dialog might be accessed more frequently then most settings. People who have multiple libraries in the cloud might want to change the settings when they change libraries. I don't have any evidence of that, but it was a consideration.

I was only talking about the setting for which Top Level Items were to be displayed on a cloud connection. I'm with you for the detail level items for consistency reasons.
